I am not diagnosing over the internet or rendering treatment-only thinking

out loud over the possible etiology.

During pregnancy a hormone called relaxin dissolves the ligaments at the

Sacro-Iliac joint to allow for the

pelvis to open up for the passage of the baby through the birth canal. Those

ligaments often do not heal in the correct position while the new Mother has

more to lift and carry than before the birth of the child. This misaligned

S-I joint causes the base upon which the spine sits to change which can

results in an reduction in the innervation of the spincter muscles.

Sure, now that you mention it, in my campaign to avoid wearing Depends in a

nursing home in about

30 years, I think I'll start doing those exercises myself but if I were her

I'd give Dr. DeCamp a call to get a referral

not to mention whatever happened ot that baby's catilagenous head and

cervical spine being grabbed and pulled by the forcepts.

Thank you,

Dr. Sandra Lance, D.C.

Hi Doc: There are exercises she can do by squinting her anus muscle. Over

time it makes it stronger. It works tell her to try it.
