The Forgotten Rule

Men and women throughout the world have thought about

improving their lives in one way or another. They may

have even found some motivation, for a short time, and

believed in themselves and their cause. But soon after,

they forgot one of the most important rules of success

and long-term happiness, and their drive to go soon came

to a screeching halt.

The simple rule of giving up.

No, I'm not talking about giving up on the goal, what I

mean is they expected change without giving particular

things up. For example, the woman who wants to get her

degree has to give up time, money, and certain luxuries

that before were common. The man who wants to get in

shape has to give up eating unhealthy foods and unhealthy

habits.

We live in a society that searches for instant

gratification, immediate results, and get

rich/healthy/happy quick programmess. While the majority

of those people are left to wonder why they can't change,

you and I will be well on our way to growing in every

part of our lives, simply because we know the secret.

Short-term sacrifices, for a happier more successful

long-term.

When you are working towards your objectives day to day,

remember that change takes time, work, and learning. If

results came quick, they wouldn't mean much to us. It is

the uphill battle that brings the most satisfaction, and

not coasting downhill.

Remember the rule of giving up, and soon you will have

all that you have worked for and more.
