Guest guest Posted October 25, 2004 Report Share Posted October 25, 2004 Notice To Members: Dear Group, I have asked many times to all members that when you post to the group that you follow the rules of posting to groups. You should edit your post to clean it up. Delete portions that are advertisements, bottom signatures, etc. The heading should reflect the subject matter, etc. Other people do not want to read that stuff and with group signatures on the bottom, etc. it makes it especially difficult for those who get the messages in journal format rather than individual messages. About 90% of the posts that we get have to be edited and it takes a lot of needless time by the moderators to do what you should have done to start with. I sometimes set aside those posts that need the most editing until later and sometimes it is a matter of days until I have time to do them. Some have had to be just deleted because it took too long, etc. I have asked many times that all members clean up their posts to no aval. If you do not know how to do this, it is time that you learned. So the new policy is, if a post is received that needs editing it will be disapproved and sent back to the sender. If that person than wants to clean it up, edit it and resend it, that is up to them, but I am personally tired of having to do it for many of you.
