Hi Kelly, Laura, Rosie and anyone else im missing.

For a good general plan to help get off antidepressants, there is a withdrawal

guide available at http://www.paxilprogress.org

that is a wonderful forum and information source and their guide is hugely

informative.

Things to start with as you withdraw or as you start getting healthy again....

Omega 3 Fish Oil, no known toxicity. you can take several grams (at least)

daily for brain function and to ease depression.

Magnesium supplements. Mg helps rebuild the nervous system, eases

anxiety in a huge way, reduces stress, relaxes smooth muscle tissue etc etc

etc. take say 600 - 800 mgs daily to start. if you get diarrhea you have reached

tolerance and should back off the dose. SSRIs deplete magnesium.

Vitamin C. Take TONS of it. its great for you. not enough bandwidth to explain

why. Its also taken to bowel tolerance. I make sure i get at least 2000 mgs

daily....often as much as 5000 with no bad effects.

B Complex vitamins...altho be careful....they can make some folks aggitated.

Avoid Grapefruit, St Johns Wort, 5-HTP, SamE, alcohol, caffiene, while on

SSRIs or withdrawing.

There are many site available now with info on how to safely get off

antidepressants and what their effects are on your body and how to safely

heal yourself. Im 21 months off paxil. its nice to get healthy again.

peace

beverly
