Guest guest
I had acupuncture and was prescribed herbal medication for many problems. The acupuncture worked great! But I took the herbal medication and had two reactions.I have gastritis and the reaction after 1 minute was bad. I waited for the herbs to start working, about 1 hour and I started shaking very very bad at 1/4 the dose recommended. If I took the full dose I would have been in the ER. I talked to my oriental healer and said it was all in my head. How does an orenital healer perscribe herbs to someone like me. Please help. I am diagnosed as Heat-Damp-with kidney dysfunction. Guest guest
dear Tedd, You must remember that herbs are not safe as pure water! Like pharma/drugs , herbs will cause a response from our body - which is trying to defend itself from attack! We have been convinced by those in high places that when we are ill -we take a pill, and the pill will cure us- nothing can be further from the truth1 Great thinkers like Trall and Tilden , with many that followed, tried to help us to see that the power to heal rests with the body - not with dangerous chemicals. Bring the body into balance (as much as possible) and improvement will follow. So much info can be found now -once we have change our basic philosophy' I recommend books by Phillip Day, Harvey /diamond,and others that promote natural hygene , juicing and eating well if you do not want the inevitable side effects that come from ingesting toxins. Others are free to disagree with me , some because their livelihood may be threatened, but I.ve found over many decades of study and observation that those who work with these principle do better in the long term. kind regards kim tedd wrote: > > > I had acupuncture and was prescribed > herbal medication for many problems. > The acupuncture worked great! Dear Tedd, Although your message left me clueless as to the effects of the homeopathic remedies (other than gastritis, whatever that is) I view this simply as a misdiagnosis... period! This is the reason that I always use single herbs (thoroughly researching them beforehand) rather than combination remedies, although I do know that herbs sometimes work better synergistically. When I consider the ill-effects of drugs, the reactions which you described seem " minute " in comparison! The herbs are cleansing your intestinal tract, and the discomfort soon passes. These side effects are common when one has been engaging in an unhealthy diet and lifestyle! On the other hand if you visit the ER, I am sure it will only stifle the healing process that has already begun, setting you back to square one or worse. This is where self-education comes in and in cases such as yours it is very important! That is what this list is all about and if you read the articles, you may just find your solutions. After all, noone knows your body as you do, and the best thing about self-medicating is you will be able to readily discern whether they are effective or not without anyone trying to tell you what you are feeling. A good rule of thumb is to start slowly and let your body adjust to the healing process. After all it undoubtedly took years to get to the place where you are today, how can we expect to reverse the situation in just a few hours. In my experience, the effects of herbs are not felt over the span of just a few days. It takes several weeks to experience the benefits. I would like to hear more details, before drawing any conclusions. I had the privilege of using various herbs to heal from multiple heart attacks in the nineties. I have never experienced anything other than healing from them. I cannot say the same for pharmaceuticals! If you feel that the ER offers you better options, that is the route you should take then. In my experience, the opposite is true. My mother passed on very shortly after visiting the ER and I am going to try to avoid that route myself! Best wishes for your recovery!
