Burzynski has had very good luck curing brain cancer using parts of

nontoxic Amino Acids. The government tried to put him out of business

Houston's Dr. Stanislaw R. Burzynski Receives Cross of Merit Award

from the Polish Government for Pioneering Research in Cancer Treatment

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 2004--On Oct. 23, 2004, the Polish

American Congress and the Polish community will celebrate the 150th

Anniversary of the founding of the first permanent Polishsettlement

in America at Panna Maria, Texas, December, 1854. A Gala Awards

Banquet will be held at the Marriott Hotel-Sugar Land on Saturday,

Oct. 23 (6:30 p.m. reception, 8:00 p.m. dinner.) This will be the

culmination of a week-long celebration in Houston, including an art

exhibit, symphony concert and educational forum highlighting Polish

contributions to American culture and society.

 

The awards ceremony at the Gala Banquet on Oct. 23 will include a

presentation of the Polish Cross of Merit to Houston's Stanislaw R.

Burzynski, M.D., Ph.D. and his wife Barbara Burzynski, M.D. in

recognition of their pioneering research and contributions to the

treatment of deadly cancers. The Burzynski Research Institute, which

they founded in 1983 in Stafford, Texas (OTCBB:BZYR - News), has

recently received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for its primary

cancer medications (A10 and AS2-1) for treating patients with brain

stem gliomas, the deadliest of brain tumors, for which there

is currently no effective long-term therapy. Other Polish-American

Texans will receive awards for their contributions in music, education

and broadcasting.
