Guest guest
Greetings, I am in search of a method of preperation of the dandelion root to treat cancer. I am to the understnding that the preperation is extremly vital as well as the regimine that the root is administered. Are there any additional roots, herbs, seeds, or leaves that may enhance this root? In the treatment of cancer? This inquiry comes with great urgency. I thank you for your input into this knowledge databasse. Your effort of input is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Patrick
Guest guest
Hi Patrick! I have used Chinese herbal medicines, which are " decocted " --boiled for about 30 minutes to yield the tea--in a consistancy of coffee, yucky tasting, usually. Dandelion has often been part of the formula, and licorice is often used too. These formulas are composites, often with 8 or more herbs. Some herbs are added because they assist in the extraction process into the water base. Some herbs work very well as " companions " with each other, enhancing the desirable effects. What we're often conditioned to in the West, is that " magic bullet " --a single herb, which will achieve the effects we're looking for. The tradition of Chinese medicine is 4,000 years old, and many formulas are ancient. I found making decoctions from the dried herbs an expensive proposition. There are instant teas (powder concentrates) available, without the work, and often less expensive. My suggestion would be to seek out a doctor of Chinese medicine, to individualize a formula for you. Being monitored, changing the formula as needed, and utilizing other supporting treatments, can be very helpful. This is much better than trying to do it all yourself. Wishing you success!
