Guest guest
I am new here but not new to alternative medicine. Here's the basic facts... Husband age 44 race is white, height 6'2 " weight 450 pounds, is bi-polor, diabetic, low blood pressure, both knees have no cartiledge what so ever.... is on slow acting Mophine for pain control... plus other meds for health reasons. Jim, my husband kept complaining that he's always tried. He can fall to sleep with in seconds of not doing anything. They thought it was the Morphine that he was on. But to make a long story short they found out that he has something wrong with his blood. His red blood count is 8.2.... it should be 13-15. He keeps going in for blood transfusions... about 2 a week.... each time he get any where from 2-4 bags each time. It still doesn't bring his blood back to " normal " . They have done a bone marrow byopsy and didn't find anything wrong. I am asking others what can be done... testing or what. Giving him iron or eating liver isn't helping at all. Belinda If you think you are perfect... Try walking on water.
Guest guest
Dear Belinda, I am not insensitive to your plight, but I cannot make out exactly what is the problem. The only thing that was somewhat clear is that there seems to be a problem with diagnosis. But without more to go on or some diagnostic tests it is just guessing out of thin air. It would seem like the doctors would have some idea what his problem is or how can they be trying to treat it. Also, you say he, " is on slow acting Mophine for pain control... plus other meds for health reasons " What is the pain from? What other meds and why? The problem may very well may be the result of one of the meds or some combination of them. You say, " they found out that he has something wrong with his > blood. " and " His red blood count is 8.2.... it should be 13-15. " but that isn't identifying the problem, just one symptom. You will probably get all kinds of answers to your email but most will just be wild guesses until you can somewhat identify what is causing the symptom of a low red blood count or tell us much more in the hope that someone here can guess at some possiblities. Aren't there any other associated symtoms also. You say that you are, " not new to alternative medicine. " I am not sure what that means exactly, but are you aware that alternative medicine may not be compatable with the medicines that he takes such as " other meds for health reasons " . Most of us do not take medicines for health reasons and the whole concept is opposite to allopathy and they usually work at cross purposes. I know that this all sounds very negative, but I do not mean it to be. I am just trying to be honest in my attempts to clarify the issues. regards, Frank , " Belinda " <ohmydog2> wrote: > I am new here but not new to alternative medicine.
