Health Supreme Update: Codex Committee To Meet In Germany To Finalize

Supplements Guidelines

The Codex Alimentarius Committee on Nutrition and Foods for

Special Dietary Uses will meet from 1 to 5 November in Bonn,

Germany, at the Brückenforum, Friedrich-Breuer-Strasse 17,

in order to finalize a Codex Alimentarius Guideline for Vitamin

and Mineral Supplements. On the agenda of the committee are the

vitamin guideline which should be finalized this year, but also

a guideline for the use of nutrition claims on food labels or

in promoting foods, proposals for new nutrient reference values

we find on food labels, a standard for infant formula and other

business. The members of Codex Alimentarius are countries, but

the representatives to this particular committee, shaping our

future nutrition-related...
