Dear John,

My Mother went to the Mental Health Center of Madison County, Alabama, Dr.

John Portier, Director for counseling with her concerns for the way my

sister was acting after she'd been prescribed antidepressants.

After a couple of years she was in a drug induced state when I arrived home

for Christmas and started getting involved and informed about her " nerve

medicine " . The psychiatrists, to say the least, were not enthusiastic about

including me in her health care as her advocate including the director of

UAB Huntsville's Psychiatry Department, Dr. Vasavada, who refused to let her

sign an Authorization to Release Medical INformation while prescribing a

carcinogenic psychotrophic medication 8 months before her 10 cm breast tumor

was diagnosed.

For years while the psychiatrsists were violating her civil rights by

failing to fax me changes in her medications after I'd gotten her to sign

the Release at the " Mental Health " Center I tried to find someone to help me

find a way to help her so she could have a decent quality of life without

the detrimental side effects of the psychiatric drugs. When the breast

cancer grew so that it was visible around her failed mastectomy after the

failed chemotherapy that made her look like an Auschwitz victim I too her to

6 health care professionals at Emory University in Atlanta. Not one of them

recognized her as being a suicide risk. When I found her with 3 plastic bags

over her head and panty hose around her neck while being prescribed

antidepressant medications that the FDA is now requiring a suicide warning

on the label. If you know of any alternative-medicine professionals who have

documented results of the usage of tryptophan for depression, please post it

on this site as I'd like to interview them on my weekly internet broadcast

on Highway2Health.net. Readers, " depression " and the drugs prescribed for

it's treatment are as deadly as heart disease and cancer. Do not take

" depression " lightly or underestimate the danger to youself or your loved

one's health and life.

Tonight on Highway2Health.net at 10PM Mr. Kent Snyder of the Liberty

Committee will report on Congressman Ron Paul's amendment to defeat

President Bush's " New Freedom in Mental Health " initiative to evaluate all

Americans starting with the children for " Mental Health " . In this Brave New

World, parents who do not agree to medicate their children with

inappropriate mental profiles can have their children taken away from them

by DHR. Involuntary psychiatric commitment, medication, electro-convulsive

shock, pre-frontal lobotomy and asset seizure through the appointment of a

guardian/conservator can be awaiting those whose political viewpoints are

not considered appropriate by the " thought police " .

Mr. Bob Brown, who has 25 years experience as a health care professional

assisting brain injured individuals who can be misdiagnosed and medicated as

mentally ill, will present his alternatives.

In today's Medical Industrial Complex, " Mental Illness " means a

deficiency of highly profitable psychotrophic medications. I could never

find ONE psychiatrist that would honestly admit that the side effects and

withdrawal symptoms I observed in my Mother before her suicide that she

never exhibited before being medicated could be being caused by the

medications they were prescribing nor would they address the very obvious

fact that their experimental treatment of switching her from one group of

medications to another was not effective and that other solutions needed to

be sought.

Regardless of how you choose to treat " depression " in yourself or

assist others in finding effective treatment, find someone you can trust who

will accompany you sometimes to your visits to your doctor and/or assist you

in researching alternative treatments that you can be with at all times

when/if you are spiraling down until you can come out of it. who can

document the effectiveness of the treatment(s) and report the effectiveness

of the treatment to your traditional and alternative health care provider

with you. If your doctor is in denial regarding the effectiveness of the

treatment, conceals your medical records, fails to cooperate with your

directives regarding who can and cannot have information about your health

care, threatens your advocate with not being able to visit you if you are

hospitalized, will not give you the PDR print-out (not just the usual

print-out provide by the pharmacist), fails to refer you for effective

treatment after a period of time, suggests that you should not be allowed to

see the medical file maintained on you because it would be too difficult for

your mental health, etc., it may be wise to locate to another outside your

hometown. And, whatever you do, get an attorney you can trust to have a

Medical and/or Durable Power of Attorney so that the Probate Judge can't

legally appoint a figurehead guardian ad litem of his choice to allegedly

" represent your interests " who will do as the Probate Judge wishes allegedly

arguing against your commitment while anticipating the next referral for

$500-$1,000 if he cooperatively actually fails to do so. I am a Doctor of

Chiropractic but nothing in this e-mail is presented as a Doctor of

Chiropractic giving any medical or legal advice. I'm just the daughter of a

dead Mother who might be alive today if the FDA had put those warning labels

on antidepressants for suicide few years ago and her brain chemistry had not

originally been irreversibly altered after being promised they were not

addictive and then she could not get off of them without severe withdrawal

symptoms that the psychiatrists will then blame on the patient as the

" progress of the disease " (that they are obviously failing to curtail) and

if the psychiatrist had not violated her civil right to have her daughter

informed that she was being prescribed a carcinogen that she would not have

choosen to injest with informed consent while her sister was dying of breast

cancer.

It's time for the stigma associated with chemical imbalances of the

brain commonly known as " mental illness " to be regulated to history. It's

time for Americans to demand EFFECTIVE mainstream treatment for

" depression " -not involuntarily evaluting all Americans for " Mental Health "

as a precursor for the government deciding if you do or do not need

" medication " that may render you too mentally and cognitively dysfunctional

to be politically active enough to object to being involuntarily medicated.

If in reading this e-mail you get the impression that it couldn't happen to

you, review the statutes in your state to research how many Probate Judges

are attorneys or even have a college education that are empowered to commit

you to a psychiatric institution with nothing but the testimony of one

family member with a cooperative commitment attorney. In Madison County

Rocket City USA Huntsville, Alabama, Probate Judge Tommy Ragland has a

H.S.G.E.D and tripled his commitments to the Alabama Department of Mental

Illness' " Community Programs " after the County Commission approve the

funding for 4 full time " Mental Health Officers " who are free to violate

Americans civil rights in taking possession of their bodies without a

warrant under oath accompanied by armed police. Before they come to take YOU

away, arm youself with knowledge, review the archives on Highway2Health.net

and listen to our program this evening at 10PM.

There are no simple black and white solutions to these highly complex

health care issues. When health care consumers educate themselves and demand

actual results, the solution of finding treatment without the debilitating

side effects and withdrawal symptoms could become a reality in modern

psychiatric medications. Until then, we must continue to seek EFFECTIVE

treatment wherever it can be found. I again implore anyone who knows of an

alternative health care provider who has documented results of the

effectiveness of his/her alternative treatmentes to please contact me so

that they can be invited to be a guest on my weekly internet radio broadcast

at Highway2Health.net on Thursday nights at 10PM.

It's too late for my Mother. Getting information about EFFECTIVE treatments

for depression to the public and educating the public about the suicide risk

of anti-depressants can save lives. Don't let it be too late for you or

someone you love.

Especially of your aging parent is on Medicare where the doctors know what

will and will not be covered by insurance that may influence the treatment

recommended, get the names of all the drugs you find in their medicine

cabinet, the names of all their doctors, get on the internet at

www.putinthenameofthedrughere.com. , research the side effects,

contraindications, etc.,

accompany them to their appointments before there is a crisis to meet their

doctors so that they are aware that their adult child is monitering their

care. Because many non-psychiatrists prescribe antidepressants, even if your

loved one is not seeing a psychiatrist, they may already be being prescribed

a psychotrphic drug without alerting you.

Again, if you know of an alternative health care practitioner who can

provide information for proven treatment of " depression " without or in

addition to iatrogenic psychiatric medications, PLEASE contact them and ask

them to contact me for consideration as a guest on Highway2Health.net. Until

such time as the FDA decides to protect our children from the admitted

genocidal/suicidal side effects of antidepressants by removing them from the

market and/or demanding that manufacturers research and don't distribute

them to the endangered public rather than just require them to put a warning

lable on them so that attorneys can argue in court that they took it with

informed consent and therefore should not be entitled to damages and

politicians are not climbing their own financially ladders with campaign

contributions from these highly profitable pharmaceutical companies, let the

buyer beware.

Thank you,

( Moderator's Note: If you will do a search on our archives ( also see links)

you will find many articles about the use of tryptophan in the treatment of

depression as well as the whole issue of banning it a few months before the

start of the sale of Prozac. There are a lot of people who believe that the

banning of tryptophan was done so that nothing would compete with the profits

of the drug Prozac.

In many cases of depression it is simply a matter of a deficiency of the basic

building blocks of nutrients in our diets enough to the point that the person

cannot make an adequate supply of one of the neurotransmitters like serotonin.

Serotonin is only one of many.

Basically tryptophan is an amino acid in our foods which among other things is

the basic building block to use in our bodies to make 5htp with which we make

serotonin and then from serotonin we make melatonin to sleep. But if there is a

deficiency of niacin in the body the tryptophan is firstly converted to niacin

as it is a more critical substance for the body. That is part of the reason that

niacin is effective for some people who have symptoms of " mental illness "

because it frees up the dietary tryptophan from being converted to niacin and

can be used more for the production of serotonin. (See also the disease Peligra,

niacin deficiency)F)
