Guest guest
Atkins lost his license to practice medicine in New York. Thus the Dr. Atkins diet is now the Atkins diet. Low protein consumption is recommended for people with renal or hepatic problems. Unfortunately, by the time symptoms appear a low protein diet is like closing the barn door after the cow gets out (excuse the pun.) Many people are totally unaware that they may have Hepatitis C, for example. According to the Red Cross, the blood drive after 911 ahd twice as many Hepatitis C donors than they expected. I believe moderation would be the key. Too much of anything is not necessarily a good thing. Marge
