I did read Fit for Life...

The best thing I personally got out of it was not eating proteins and fruits

(except for apples) together.

I used to have a terrible time with upset stomach, and sever gas pains when I

did, this book helped me to avoid that situation.

The worst ever was when I mixed pears (that were too green) and cheeses at an

afternoon visit . By the time we got into the car to leave I couldn't move

for the pain. I sent my husband to the nearest drug store for Gelusel( which I

used to live on) before we could continue our trip.

I don't have the need for Gelucel any more , now that I have discovered enzymes

and acidophilous, and lecithin they pretty much cover the territory!

Every ones digestive tract is individual...we need to be able to pick up

pointers here and there, one size does not fit all...especially in digestive

matters. NG

Hi Nora,

Can you explain how soy lecithin helps the digestive tract? I gather it's

an emulsifier. What happens when it is mixed with, say, a blended fruit

smoothie (no milk, just whole fruits + water)

I use lecithin for the fatty substances that I may be eating....ribs,

steak, etc., sorry I didn't mean to imply with fruits....lecithin is an

emulsifier, I use it with gravy.

Hershey uses it to smooth out the chocolate.

I am a meat eater, I couldn't forgo the protean, I tried. NG-----
