Guest guest
You can download archives and import them into an e-mail program Go to: http://elfstrom.com/amf login: amf password: library You can use a program like Eudora (available for Mac & Windows) to import the message archives and search through them. The archive is big, with over 20,000 messages. It currently contains up to May 2004. I plan on adding to it every 6 months or 5000 messages, so the next update would be November. Any questions or problems should be addressed to me off-list at david ********** Regarding the virus, I believe that the virus is sending itself out from an infected member's computer, disguising itself as other people. I have received many viruses originating from computers in other parts of the world, sometimes appearing to come from my own e-mail account. It is too much a stretch to assume it is malicious... there are millions of virus-containting messages sent every day by self-replicating viruses, and only a handful by actual people with intent. As to why you can't remove some accounts, I'm not sure. It's likely a problem caused by the move of the list from eGroups when bought them out. Guest guest
David E. Is there a way to download the archives to a CD? I am just learning to deal with computors. Grateful for your information(storage!) and help. Nora G You can keep backups of the compressed .zip files on CD, or give them to someone else on CD, using any CD-writing software. But to be useful and searchable, they need to be uncompressed, copied to your hard drive and imported into an e-mail program. David
