Guest guest
Hello, Is anyone familiar with Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (Photoluminescence)? I have chronic hepatitis C & i'm going to start the inteferon w/Riboviran treatment in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping the UVBI will help with the severe side effects. Thanks in advance for your help. Guest guest
Linda, Dr. William Douglass Campbell MD has written a book about this called " Into the Light " or something like that. He took a Sabbatical and went to Russia for a year to study this. He talked about the way we do things, removing the blood from the body, irradiating it, and having to filter it before reintroducing it to the body. He said the Russians, being on a budget, began introducing a fiber optic strand into a vein, and then irradiating that as it was rushing past. The result was that the blood was cleansed, but didn't require all the filtering, was much cheaper to do, and had less side effects. I do have some articles on UV therapy.... from Nexus magazine that you may wish to look at. The light page is http://www.industryinet.com/~ruby/lightinghealth.html Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
Hi, and yes, I have been receiving U.B.I.T. (photo-oxidation) for three years. It's not for hepatitis, but you should be able to find a Hepatitis C group on the web, who are self treating with U.V. My partner did the ribaviron/interferon treatment, and it seems to have worked. Some advice there: it makes people extremely grumpy, impossible to live with. Finding someone who does U.B.I.T. may be difficult, but there is an organization on the web: Foundation for Light Therapy (I think that's correct), and they may refer you. I have been receiving therapy at no cost, but typical cost here is $140.00/treatment. As far as I have seen, U.B.I.T. is harmless, when used correctly. Do not over-treat, or you'll experience the herxheimer reaction--but your therapist will know this. Good luck!
