Guest guest
Hi, I am the mom of a 26 month old son, and just joined the group. My friend told me that there had previously been a lot of discussion about Metal-free and other less invasive chelating agents, and I'd like to know more about them...as well as any other success stories. I tried searching the archive, but don't really know what I'm doing, ie no references to metal-free came up. I haven't even done bloodwork on my son, and dread the day(s) we do it. He is high-functioning with a developmental delay. He has never been vaccinated, is still being breastfed, and has never had antibiotics. Something we're doing is helping him because his language is improving and he is getting spontaneous language (after a period of mostly repetition and scripting - both of which have decreased markedly). The only thing I've been consistent with is Cod liver oil, acidophilus, a little lauricidin, some oral b12 that I'm not even sure he's absorbing, as it's mixed in food. I feel he probably has metal issues, and we're trying to cut what little hair he has to get tested...and may do a metal-free challenge test (fecal). Any helpful info is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jill
