Guest guest
Dear Group, Do you believe that pharmacuetical drugs are the way to health? If you do, you are probably in the wrong group. Do you believe what you hear about health and medicine on the major media outlets? If you think that it is true then you are, also again, probably in the wrong group. If you believe that most of the information about real healing and health is not avalable to you from the medical establishment, the media or the government and you have to get it for yourself elsewhere like in books, the internet, etc. then you are starting to open your mind to seek out your own " truth " . The truth that is there but harder to find. The more objective truth not dependent on someone's slant for commercial or political reasons. For me, if I cannot trust or believe in major media, the medical establishment or the government to use for my health information then I cannot trust or believe most other things that come from them either. I must get information from other sources and evaluate it. Hopefully you will find that the more that you learn, the more that you will come to realize that you have been intentionaly misinformed by the government, the media, and the medical establishment to promote the best interests of someone else other than your own health or well being. Initially someone usually starts out with the thinking that most allopathic medicine is good but just not enough cutting edge in relation to the use of natural nontoxic things. Also, that the medical establishment is just somehow unaware of these things and whenever someone somehow brings it to the fore, then these things will change and natural stuff will be integrated into it and we will then have the best of both worlds so to speak. Let me tell you about how cutting edge this natural stuff is. Most of the basic stuff about using vitamins and other nutrients to heal has been known for a very long time now by the upper levels of government and in both the scientific communities and medical communities. Vitamins have been known to cure disease for 50 to 70 years now. If they wanted to " know about " them it has always been there for them to see. They " choose " year after year and decade after decade to " not see " the facts about nutrition and health. If you and I as laypeople can somehow find this information, do you really think that it is too hard for the governments, the media or the professional health and medical scientists to also find it, that is if they really wanted to??? Somehow over time and on their own course of self education a lot of people " wake up " and realize that what is considered to be " common knowledge " and what they have been led to believe about health care, healing, pharmacueticals and most of the rest of allopathic medicine is NOT true. Then their own quest for the real truth begins. Most of us are at different levels and stages of that journey. The more that we learn, the more we " unlearn " what has somehow been " taught " to us by our societies around us in one manner or another. How did all of that stuff get into our heads? We took it in by a kind of " osmosis " on a daily basis from the time of our birth till now from most of the society that we live in. It was " known " by our parents, schools, media, governments, etc. It became " truth " because everyone knew it. It was " common knowledge " . With the advent of the internet, information became more readily accessable to the average person where as before one usually had to seek out certain books which were sometimes hard to find. That same internet that brings you information on real health and healing, and that allows you to personally evaluate " different versions of truth " as to it's veracity, can now be explored to find out if a lot of the other " common knowledge " things that play a part in our lives are also true or if they are some " manufactured truths " and repeated endlessly to us from many sources. I suggest that if you do not find that the major media is a good reliable source for the real deal on health, vitamins, Big pharma, alternative health, etc. that maybe they also are very poor sources for other truths too. If you want to really find out the facts and evaluate them, use the internet to also learn about politics, government agencies, justice systems, spin, media, communication, special interests, etc. They all tie together. You cannot seperate them out unless you " choose not to see " . Most of the things that effect our lives and health are exactly those things. They determine what kind of foods, water, soils, toxins, costs, information access, health care choices, etc. that ARE or ARE NOT available to us. They determine what we " believe " . These things determine how long we live and how sick we are while living it. That is very hard to somehow detach and seperate out from the intertwinned nature of our societies' makeup. Your access to information, types of health care, foods, etc., and to evaluate and choose is directly related to the politics involved. I suggest to you that we have also been misled by the governments and the same economic interests to believe in other " common knowledge " things that are detrimental to our own interests in many areas of our lives. I challenge you to read up on most other areas. Not from a partisan viewpoint. But from a truth seeking viewpoint. That is the only thing of value to really help our lives. Spin ( lies) doesn't help. It makes the problem worse whether in health, education, relationships, governments, politics,... whatever. Just as we have had to find a " truth " other than that presented to us by the medical establishment and perpetuated by the government and the media, we need to find similar " real truths " devoid of preconcieved thinking in many other areas. Otherwise without an open mind, we are " not really looking " but are just manufacturing our own version of spin in our own heads to try and change reality into a fictionalized something that we want or would like it to be. my 2 cents, Frank
