Organic olive oil, coconut oil, grapesseed oil, and I'm sure there are others, have been proven to be quite healthy for you. I think it's those oils that have been re-proccessed by industry and are hydrogenated and have trans-fats in them that are the real baddies. http://www.dldewey.com/hydroil.htm Harry =--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Hi Harry, You are quite right. All cold pressed organic vegetable oils are quite beneficial to the human body. Safflower, sunflower, sesame, olive, hemp and others are all very beneficial but only as long as you do not heat them. Once they are heated for frying purposes their beneficial properties are destroyed and trans-fats are created. Never use anything but organic cold pressed oils and never heat your oils. The bad oils are the hydrogenated oils, shortenings etc. Your every day, run of the mill, garden variety type oils that are usually found in the stores are hydrogenated toxins with the sole purpose of taking up shelf space and wreaking havoc in the bodies of man and animals alike. Canola, soy bean oil and corn oil are all junk and need to be hydrogenated because they go rancid so fast. Best to just stick with olive oil, coconut and palm oils. Cold pressed, non-bleached, unrefined and organic. Don Quai --- Outgoing mail and attachments are certified Virus Free.
