Dear Group,

I have not been overly concerned with being thought of as a

" politically correct " person.

If I were that, I would have started a group to encourage the use of

the drugs of Big Pharma. Truth seemed a much a more important matter.

When I feel it necessary to show how things are interrelated and tie

together, I step outside of our main subject. In fact lately, I am

surprised that a lot of you are still here as I usually seem to offend

most all at least once in a while.

Another thing is that most of you know that I am limited by illness

and brain damage (medicines) and put up with my mispellings and

disjointed phrasings that occur sometimes.

In spite of that, this group has had a relatively minor level of

success in comparison to the fate of most other about

alternative health.

This group is so small in numbers in comparison to the amount who

surfs on the net that I was surprised that we could be of interest to

hardly anyone outside of people like ourselves who have an interest in

searching for information about alternative health.

But when I post to the group my messages may be delivered instantly,

they may take one hour, two hours or 10 hours to get to you. Or they

sometimes may not be delivered at all. It usually depends on how

" politically correct " they are. Some messages you may have to actually

go to the home page of the group site to read them. Some messages I

have had to post multiple times to actually get them to go through.

How many are actually making it to being delivered to your mail boxes

I have no idea.

It still is very hard for me to believe that here in the " home of the

free " that this group can get the attention and efforts of others who

would like to damage or stop this information to the extent that we

have had over the past 3 years.

In addition to a low level of harrasment, a few examples are:

We have a couple of " embeded " members who it is impossible to remove

or ban. They have posted material to the group falsely under my name.

All efforts to remove them are stopped by the management

program that even though they are listed states that they cannot be

banned as they are not members.

Some of our management tools program was disabled for about a year

when no other groups were.

Our front page of our group site should show 4 years of how many

messages were posted each month etc. Our group shows 2. The other 2

years fell of in the middle of January of last year. They were

fiddling with the messages and rummaging around in the inner working

of the group and somehow screwed up some of our history.

We have had the group site " go down " for a couple of days when no

others did. We have had automatic multiple postings.

Sometimes I have had to resort to " tricking " the site to accept my posts.

There have been a lot more " little things " to numerous to mention.

Why would some unknown anyone put so much effort into " screwing

around " with little ol us. This was happening somewhat early on even when the

coversations were only about alternative medical information.

Personally I do not want to take on the effort or the responsibility

of becomeing a " cause " . I just wanted the freedoms to have a group of

like minded people who can discuss things among ourselves. Anyway, I

am too old and too sick to worry about it all, but I wanted you all to

be aware of it. And yes, I am probably a little paranoid. but that

desn't mean that what I am telling you isn't true.

Anyway, go to the homepage and see if you are getting all or at least

most of the messages. They may be getting " lost " from or

they may be like some others of mine. Like almost anything that I

( my email account) to that is the least little bit not

politicaly correct winds up in my spam file with all of the viagra and penis

enlargement ads.

take care,

Frank

Dear Frank, I often wondered if B P was keeping up with the site or friends

of fda/corporate interests, now you have answered my questions. I think a

lot of our good info needs to be hard-copied . No telling when and where

plugs get pulled. As in my trying to send info on...page won't send for

some reason...DANGEROUS bbl bla bla comes up on the screen! I don;t know

enough about computors to figure out what is happening. Thanks for all of

your considerable efforts .NG

What a shock!! Frank, I would have bet my last nickle that you are as

correct politically as anyone with whom I associate! Can this mean that I am

also non-pc!!!

*GASP*

Try taking the members addy //copy paste into the ban area of management.

Don't bother with " ban member " . It may work, it may not. Sometimes it does,

sometimes it doesn't. yukhoo will not respond to your inquiry, or will

respond with yuk.

has always had it's spies. E-groups was much better... One list was no

problem at all.

Was this group started in e-groups? Was it started as a club?? before

took over e groups??

Just wondering how much storage room you have. It makes a difference if it

was a club before it became a group.

is following close in aol footsteps as far as censorship goes. It's a

damn shame and a direct infringement on the first amendment. Did I say

infringement??? I meant opposition, or violation, or something like that. My

thinking is fuzzy again tonight. I hate it. The damage done by the Rx and

HCV is infuriating...exasperating!

I'm having a bad couple days and wondering if I made the right decision to

quit Lexapro.

This is not a question for anyone. It's a thought of mine. Nothing more. I'm

listening to my body.

Yukhoo's tentacles are long and varied. I'm wondering how involed in big

pharma.

Oh yes...

do something to protect your archives.

Y! groups have been known to just *POOF*

One of mine did a few years back.

This is not paranoia. It is fact, and it might be a little scary. I have

seen others disappear. Belong to a group that tracks some of them.

I just figure I'm straightforward enough not to give a damn what they think.

The integrity of this forum cannot be denied. Truth speaks here.

Opinion is truth to the speaker.

Love ya kid!

p.s. I think my non exixtent penis will probably reach Australia this year.

Adding 3 " per email... it's bound to be there soon. I dunno..I average 300+

ads a day. There again we see a conflict of interest with Y mail and their

crap policies. They sell our names then " protect " us from the mail.

And you are so right about having to sort out the spam folder. What good is

it?

I've made archives of the available.

This became necessary after crippled the Groups search feature so

that it can only search messages in batches of 75 at a time. That makes it

pretty much impossible to find old messages, given that there's over 20000

messages in the archives.

You'll need to have an email client such as Eudora that can read standard

'mbox' format email messages. Eudora is available for free for both

Windows and MacOS. (http://www.eudora.com/)

Once you've uncompressed the file, move it to where Eudora stores its mail

and open up Eudora. It will build a table of contents the first time you

access the archive. Then you can search through the entire archive in a

matter of seconds, right on your own computer.

Questions about this should be addressed to me off-list at

david.

Best of health,

David
