Guest guest
Dear Group, The concepts of " good " or " bad " being attached to cholesterol is part of the allopathic sales myth. Both are absolutely good and necessary. One is not good and the other bad. That is like saying that hydrogen is good and oxygen is bad. Or that food is good and water is bad. Balance to any given point for a specific reason is usually what the body needs at that time to try and " handle " some problem. Trying to get your cholestrol into what " you think is the right range " iwithout trying to correct the underlying problem is really trying to take away your bodies " defenses " wihout first taking care of the " problem " . One molecule carries one type of cholestrol and another carries the other. Your body is constantly putting down and picking up these two types on a constant basis to all areas of the body. If we do not have enough of one type of basic building material from diet or too much of the other in our diet we can get an imbalance, but not usually. We also can mess up our cholesterol when we put " poisons' into our body like hydrogenated fats which are really a cross between a plastic and a food. Your body cannot use them so they get stored in the arteries and everywhere else until it kills us. Plastic!!!! You say. Yes. The original plastics were made from plants and only later made from petrolium. They discovered when they changed the molecular structure of fats they would no longer " spoil " . Well they were a financial success but a health nightmare. They were no longer " real " food no matter what the sellers and government tells us. They were changed molecularly half way to a non food similar to what they did to make early plastic. Margarine and Crisco were the first ones. Later we got soft margerine and oils that will last forever. They would be better used to lubricate some machine but that would never happen as they value the machines more humans. There are a number of other nutritional factors that if deficient can cause an imbalance. In most cases your liver manufacturers most of the cholesterol that is in your body amd is not that dependent just on dietary intake. A lot of times your liver manufactures one type of cholesterol or the other for a very good health reason. Frank
