Guest guest
I've been invited to write an every-other-week alternative healing column for the local gay men's sex paper. I'd get to choose the format and content (length would be about 650 words), keeping in mind the audience. The editor suggests that interest will be high for complementary approaches to dealing with HIV and other STDs, probably in addition to, rahter than instead of, the readers' involvements with Big Pharma meds. If you've done something like this before, or are doing it now, I'd love encouragement ... or discouragement, if that's more appropriate. Do you have suggestions for format? Answer reader questions? Just lay out my choice of information? Change formats from one column to the next? Anyone have a CYA disclaimer that would suit this purpose? What do I have to say? This isn't medical advice, consult your physician...? What would you want to read in a column like this? Anyone have any neat ideas for a name? Thanks! Meg Our ways differ so much, when you say one thing, I understand another. We can't help but see each other through the patterns we know from the cultures we grew up with. Like looking through lace - the view isn't clear, the patterns get in the way. (Ruth Nestvold, " Looking Through Lace " )
