Say No to Unnecessary Dietary Supplement Law

We need your help to stop a new California dietary supplement bill thats

bad for consumers and bad for business.

Sen. Jackie Speier has introduced S.B. 779, legislation intended to help

alert the California Department of Health Services to potential problems

with dietary supplements. But this bill, which has already passed in the

Senate and is now under consideration in the House, has big problems of its

own and we need your immediate action to stop it.

If S.B. 779 is enacted it would duplicate federal legislation efforts

currently underway by requiring manufacturers of dietary supplements sold in

California to report to both federal and state governments. Since the bill

doesnt designate any money for this redundant system, manufacturers will

foot the bill. Double the work means higher prices for everyone and

consumers will bear the brunt of this bill.

Tell your representative in the California Assembly to vote No on S.B. 779

an unnecessary bill that will drive-up costs of safe and effective dietary

supplements.

Take action now! Click here to send a free e-mail your state legislators now

telling them to oppose S.B. 779.
