CDC Cuts Hepatitis C Funding

From the California Department of Health Services: The Centers for Disease

Control in Washington, DC received news of their anticipated $2 million

budget cut from NCID (National Center for Infectious Diseases) and

consequently will not be funding any Viral Hepatitis Integration and

Intervention Projects (VHIIPs). The funding cut is being appealed by the

Division of Viral Hepatitis, but they doubt it will prove successful.
