Dear Group,

 

I am not trying to be funny or play around. I am not trying to " trap "

anyone.

 

I have received many, many off topic messages both to the group and

to me personally.

 

A lot of them dealt with religion, politics, what should be posted

and what should not be posted, etc. I have had almost everyone mad at

me at one time or another. That is not important though.

 

So, these ideas of censorship and values that people bring and post

are just a small glimpse into our society as a whole.

 

When the subject came up concerning politics and restricting access

to this film, one thing led to another and maybe we should drop

the " rules " we have here for the moment and openly discuss these

things.

 

I would really like to know what people think about one's right to

say and do things and where it infringes on others and where do we

draw the lines, etc.

 

It may even encompass what people do or do not have the right to

believe something and what limits can a society put upon them.

 

With 1800 members and the thousands of messages I have received, I

would think that there are many on this board who would welcome a

chance to express all those things that they felt that they couldn't

before. So, pretty much the floor is open on all of these things.

Please try and describe it if you can without it just being a cliche

or parroting some response.

 

Now is not the time to be shy about saying something. We all should

have the courage of our convictions or what good are they.
