Sugar Prostate Cancer - Too Close For Comfort "

Say No To Sugar

Other than the obvious health side effects due to sugar, the sugar

prostate cancer link is real. Over the years you've probably chosen

to ignore the fact that sugar is bad for your overall health.

Alternative medicine prostate cancer takes a holistic view that your

overall health problems due to sugar, which you may have ignored,

has exploded into a prostate cancer tumor.

The sugar prostate cancer link chain of events.

Sugar depletes the zinc that our organs and glands (including

prostate) requires. It increases insulin levels promoting prostate

cancer and then creates an acidic environment for the prostate

cancer cells to thrive.

The lack of zinc also compromises our immunity system. The sugar

then contributes to the creation of a protective film around the

prostate cancer cells that our weakened immune system cannot detect

or attack.

The sugar prostate cancer link also affects our calcium levels. Our

body natural state is alkaline. Because sugar is acidic, calcium is

leeched from our bones to neutralize it.

It is alarming the amount of sugar that we are consuming.

Refined sugar, like refined flour, is a by-product of Western

civilization. It's an unnatural diet, so it's completely unnecessary

to our diet. Most breakfast cereals contain sugar - a bowl of muesli

may contain the equivalent of two tablespoons of sugar. Soft drinks

have a high sugar content - Coca Cola and Lucozade contain the

equivalent of seven teaspoons of sugar per 200 ml glass!

Refined sugar, is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. A rapid

rise in blood sugar levels occurs. Your pancreas, to counter the

rapid rise in blood sugar levels, starts to boost the production of

insulin. Too much insulin is believed to promote prostate cancer.

This is why diabetics are prone to cancer.

Prostate cancer is linked to obesity. Reducing refined sugar intake

reduces obesity.

Dr. Otto Warburg, the Nobel Prize winner specifically stated that

sugar is prime cause of cancer. I quote him as it is quite useful:

" Almost anything can cause cancer but, even for cancer, there is

only one primal cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of

cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal

cells by a fermentation of sugar "

Not only have sugars have been shown to feed cancer cells, but may

possibly contribute to the formation of the protective coating that

envelopes cancer cells, preventing your white blood cells from

detecting and destroying them.

Additionally refined sugar has no nutritional value - it has been

striped of its mineral nutrients and vitamins.

Most alternative treatments cancer, state that too much refined

sugar causes an over acidic condition. In the sugar prostate cancer

link, to compensate for the acidity, the body depletes its stored

minerals and vitamins leading to malnutrition.

For example, drinking a soft drink will cause your immune system to

be vulnerable for a period of 4 hours. The availability of infection

and cancer fighting white blood cells drops about 90 per cent for

that period.

While not directly addressing the sugar prostate cancer link,

Eastern medicine recommend no sweets for anyone with cancer, e.g.

Traditional , state that " sweet flavor " foods may

contribute to cancer because they are " moistening and promote

dampness and 'thaam' or mucous " . Tibetan medicine also warns against

sweet white foods during cancer.

Sugar Prostate Cancer link: zinc depletion.

Most prostate problems are due to a lack of zinc. The old Casanova

tale of eating oysters for its aphrodisiac properties somehow rings

true as oysters are loaded with zinc. Traditionally, our normal food

sources such as meat, poultry, legumes, beans and leafy green

vegetables contained ample supply of zinc. However commercial

farming methods have resulted in lower zinc content in our food.

This problem, in the sugar prostate cancer link, is further

compounded by our huge intake of refined sugar which depletes zinc

from our body.

Zinc is the vital protector of our immune system. Low zinc levels

result in a definite decrease in the number of circulating T-

lymphocytes, which fight infection and cancer cells. People over

70's generally have lower levels of zinc, resulting in more

infections because the immune system is weaker.

THE mineral zinc plays a pivotal role in DNA synthesis, which

decides our genetic make-up. It is extensively distributed in the

body and is part of the structure of more than 200 enzymes. Hence,

any deficiency in zinc may result in the impairment of many

metabolic functions and, thus, lead to disease and ill-health.

A 1961 study, by Prasad et al, on Iranian adolescent boys identified

zinc deficiency as the main cause of dwarfism, diminished function

of the sex glands and poor immune function.

In 1998, at a conference titled " Zinc: What Role Might Supplements

Play? " , the National Institutes of Health presented evidence that

zinc deficiency is one of the more common nutritional deficiencies

suffered by humans.

So breaking the sugar prostate cancer link increases zinc levels for

overall prostate health.

Doesn't the body need sugar?

Yes it does. But not in the form of refined unnatural sugars such as

glucose, dextrose and sucrose.

We get sufficient sugar in our daily food products such as fresh

fruits and vegetables. These sugars are not refined sugars, but

usually complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates requires your

body to work at extracting the sugars that it needs. You therefore

do not get the spike in blood sugar levels that will leave you with

increased insulin levels. The sugar prostate cancer link is

therefore broken.

You know your body has too much sugar when there are crusts in your

eyes in the morning. Your body is doing its best to excrete the

excess sugar.

Breaking the sugar prostate cancer link.

Cut out all processed food e.g. candy, biscuits, white bread, soft

drinks. Only natural foods do not have refined sugar.

Read the labels carefully. Other names for refined sugar are

glucose, sucrose, maltose, lactose, corn syrup and white grape. When

in doubt write to the manufacturer and compare the reply to the

nutrition guide here.

Chew a raw carrot slowly for occasional low sugar levels. Raw

carrots are difficult to digest. Your body will therefore get a

controlled extraction of natural sugars. Raw carrots helps your

digestive system to expel the excess xenoestrogens in your digestive

system.

Following the above nutrition guide to a sugar buster diet

diligently requires some discipline. Your taste buds will adjust

quickly and your prostate will love you for it.

Do not under any circumstances use artificial sweeteners such as

aspartame (NutraSweet). Its even worse than refined sugars. When the

temperature of aspartame exceeds 86 degrees Fahrenheit, it converts

to formaldehyde! This may actually be worth than the sugar prostate

cancer link as not only is your nervous system affected, but it may

also brain cancer and brain lymphomas!

If you really need a sweetener use Stevia, a herbal sweetener which

actually helps regulate blood sugar levels. Its full name is Stevia

Rebaudiana, a small plant native to Paraguay and Brazil. Discovered

in 1887 by a South American scientist named Antonio Bertoni, Stevia

was known locally as Caa'-ehe or Kaa'-he-e which means " sweet herb "

or " honey leaf " . Stevia has been found to be 100 - 300 times sweeter

than refined sugar, so you only need a small amount in your cooking.

The sugar prostate cancer link - break it now.
