Guest guest
Dear Friend, I have had years of experience dealing with Truehope and cannot say enough good things about the people who run the organization. The supplement they " market " through a manufacturer in Salt Lake City, Utah is called EmPower and contains nothing but vitamins and minerals. The man who founded Truehope gave the supplement to two of his children who have bipolar disorder like his wife, who committed suicide. The story of how he discovered the supplement is quite interesting and appears on the Truehope website. The University of Calgary was halfway through a one-million dollar study on the effects of the supplement in treating bipolar disorder when the project was cancelled by Health Canada, so now we will never have data that shows how effective it is. I know the supplement is effective, because one of my relatives has been taking it for three years. EmPower has given her back her life. On lithium, anti-depressants,benzodiazepines, anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers she was a mess. It took her about six or eight months to get off all medication once she started taking the supplement. She returned to university and is almost finished her degree now. Truehope and the supplement EmPower are a remarkable chapter in the book on treating bipolar disorder. It's too bad that the pharmaceutical companies wield such power and control, otherwise everyone might be taking the supplement( and getting well), instead of the psychotropic drugs that are doing so much harm. I wish you all the best in your research on Truehope. Regards, Anna-Jean
