Guest guest
My mother is visiting, and she asked my wife to buy her some ginger ale in small bottles. (My mother is 80-years-old, and doesn't know from healthy. It's good if we can get her to drink much of anything at all.) My wife could not find any ginger ale, but she did find a carbonated drink made by Cott beverages called " Chubby, " which features what I guess is supposed to be a " cute " cartoon drawing of what appears to be a little girl who is nearly as wide as she is tall, and who is so round she has no arms and no legs, just fat hands and feet. The ingredients of the drink are: " carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, citric acid, potassium benzoate,(a preservative), gum acacia, natural and artificial flavor, ester gum, red 40, bromated vegetable oil, caramel color, yellow 6. " I don't get it. This appears to be a new drink I have not seen on grocery shelves before. What could have been going on in the minds of the Cott product planners who developed this stuff?
