Guest guest
How To Pronounce It! Here's a sad message found on another board this evening from yet another poor soul who had his prostate removed(very possibly unncessarily) quick as a flash, and then was almost immediately recruited to support " Relay For Life " ! Here's what this poor fellow posted: " I recently was diagnosed with prostrate cancer and had a prosectomy on April 26. Our community is having a RELAY FOR LIFE on July 9. I was recruited to participate in this fund raiser. I am sure most of this group has volunteered for some project to support cancer research. I request your support of my effort in this project in (town and state mentioned here.) If you could donate any money, please make a check out to the cancer society on behalf of my walking in this relay. If you would send the checks to ___________. If you would like to know who I am, please go to this website: www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I appreciate any donations. Sincerely, XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX " (End of his message) This poor guy went through the mill as fast as anyone I've ever heard of! He didn't even have a chance to learn how to pronounce the words, " prostate " and " prostatectomy " before his prostate was torn out and gone forever! And he was so cooperative, they wasted no time " recruiting " him for " Relay For Life " ! Here's what I replied to him: Dear Richard, I apologize at the outset for my bluntness, but I'm not much good at speaking any other way. Richard, you have been sold a bill of goods. I am someone who recovered from cancer about 15 years ago. During that time, I did a great deal of research into mainstream medicine's efforts to cure cancer, and I found that except for two or three particular kinds of cancer, mainstream medicine is no closer to finding cures for cancer than they were in the 1950's. The two or three they have some success with are: Hodgkin's Disease, Acute Lymphocitic Leukemia and some form of testicular cancer. Other than those very few cancers---there are HUNDREDS of different kinds--- mainstream medicine is whistling dixie in the dark. It wouldn't be so bad if they were just whistling dixie; but they are actually harming people they treat for cancer. Take your own case--- did they cure you of the cancer? No, they cut some of your guts out, and then HOPED the cancer wouldn't come back. They didn't even bother to tell you that the word is " pro-state " , not " pros-trate, " and " prosta--tec-tomy " , not " pro-sec-tomy " , because they can deal with you much better when you're ignorant than when you're not. An educated person with cancer is an oncologist's, a surgeon's and a radiologist's worst nightmare. Richard, my father was a biochemist and a pharmacologist. A pharmacologist is someone who works to develop new drugs. You know what my dad told me about cancer research? He said anyone who says, " We put a man on the moon; we can cure cancer, can't we? All we need is enough money. " does not know what they're talking about. He said " IF YOU ARE DOING THE WRONG RESEARCH, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU RAISE. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FIND THE SOLUTION YOU SEEK! " Richard, it appears you have had a real " whirlwind " relationship with mainstream medicine. 1) They diagnosed you. 2) They removed your prostate. 3) They have you working for them to raise money to support more of the same kind of blockheaded medicine they practiced on you. I can't say for sure, Richard, but I am thinking it's quite possible you did not have to have your prostate removed. Of course, I could be wrong, but one thing I am CERTAIN OF is that urologists and surgeons remove LOTS of prostates UNNECESSARILY. Now with regard specifically to the " Relay For Life, " first of all, I believe it's a run down a blind alley. The reason is that the research being supported by " Relay For Life " is all wrong. It will never yield a cure for cancer. But secondly, please do this: Put into a search engine the words, " American Cancer Society Salaries " and read some of the information you find there. The American Cancer Society, though it calls itself " non-profit, " holds a tremendous amount of cash in reserve, and its administrative staff is paid so much, the organization won't reveal the salaries of its top executives. Finally, a very significant portion of what the American Cancer Society raises through events like " Relay For Life " does NOT go toward research, but rather into ACS coffers and into the pockets of ACS executives. I feel for you, Richard. I myself am sterile from having had chemo " therapy " , and I have tooth decay from receding gums caused by chemo " therapy " , and also severely dry eyes, fungus on my toenails and bad digestion. What's worse, the chemo " therapy " did NOT cure me. I cured myself using a non-toxic, gentle ALTERNATIVE treatment. Richard, please, before you go any further with the folks you think are your friends, get on the internet and do some serious research. If you don't do it now, there will definitely come a day when you realize the truth of what I am saying and how wrong the people are who are asking you to volunteer your time and your efforts to support research and treatment that does NOTHING for 98.5% of all cancers, and that has made no significant headway since the 1950's. Here are some other things to search under: Ralph Moss Cancer --- put those three words into your search engine and see what you find. There was also an excellent article published in " Fortune " magazine just a couple of months ago I will be glad to send you. My apologies for what you have been through, and my best wishes to you, Richard, Elliot (End of reply) I don't think Richard is going to be very pleased with me. I don't care. He would find out sooner or later, I'd think. Besides, he posted his message on an ALTERNATIVE Prostate Cancer board! No one else answered him. Guest guest
I received a reply from the person to whom I sent this message. It was private, so I cannot post it here. But here is my reply to him: Hi, XXXXXXXXXX. With cancer and with other degenerative dis-eases, it is not even a matter of " finding a cure. " It is a matter of eliminating the cause. I am not talking about quitting smoking. I am not talking about " getting your 5-8 servings of fruits and veggies a day. " I am talking about 98% of what is sold in supermarkets and restaurants as food to the American public. I am talking about chemical and industrial pollution. I am talking about what is added to most cities' water supplies. Do you know how many tons of pepperoni are eaten by Americans every year? I don't, but I am sure it's a staggering number. Pepperoni is near the top of the list as something a person should never eat, because of what's in it---cancer-causing nitrites, red food coloring, 75% fat, and the worst, most contaminated, rejected parts of animals. How many tons of margarine are eaten by Americans each year? How many tons of bacon and pork? How many tons of high-fat cheese? How many tons of shellfish?(Shellfish are the scavengers of polluted ocean, river and lake bottoms.) How many American cities have chlorine and flouride in their water? How many cities have totally unacceptable air quality due to auto and factory pollution? Those are the things the American Cancer Society needs to be concerning itself with. The ACS is nothing but a sham to deflect the gaze of Americans away from the causes of cancer toward the so-called " cure, " which will never be found, particularly along the avenues of research funded by the American Cancer Society. Regarding the average American diet, here is a link to a book called " The Saccharine Diet, " in which the author paints an exceptionally convincing picture of how and why so many people in this country and in the modern, western world, are dying from degenerative dis-eases such as cancer, diabetes, heart attacks and stroke: http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library/Cleave/cleave_toc.html Do you know what was being served to the crowds who came to the ACS " Relay For Life " they had recently here in Illinois, where I live? Pork barbecue! Pork barbecue on white, fiberless buns, with mounds of free-radical-causing potato chips, and sugar-laden, white- flour, Crisco-containing confectionaries. And to drink there was " coke, " coffee and nutrasweet-sweetened " diet " beverages. I did not attend; I heard this from someone else who went. The ACS is a worse-than-useless, self-perpetuating, self-serving organization. Incidentally, along with promoting and financing damaging, ineffective mainstream " cures, " they also take it upon themselves to keep an updated list of alternative therapies they claim are worthless or dangerous. Many of those therapies are ones people have used to heal themselves from cancer. So not only does the ACS propagandize for damaging, carcinogenic, invasive treatments that almost entirely do not work, they also do their best to discourage people from trying treatments that do work! It is frustrating to me that someone of your intelligence apparently cannot see the net in which Americans are caught. That net has become plain ridiculous now, in that grocery stores which sell the food, drink and chemicals that are making Americans sick also have their own pharmacies, where they sell Americans ineffective and even damaging " cures " for the dis-eases they get from buying the products the grocery store is selling them! You say you believe you were a likely candidate for prostate cancer because of your exposure to Agent Orange. It is entirely possible that the prostate cancer you were diagnosed with had far less to do with your exposure to Agent Orange than it did with your diet, your environment and your daily activities. There is also a clear relationship between government and industry's not caring about your being exposed to Agent Orange and the government and industry's not caring that 98% of what you are buying in grocery stores is harmful for you to eat. Given that science, medicine and the government have all supposedly been working on curing cancer for many decades, and given that they have consistently come up empty-handed, does it not make sense for them to switch their tactics? Would it have made sense, when we were working on finding a cure for malaria, to have never seriously set about identifying the carrier/cause of the dis-ease---mosquitoes and swamps---but rather to have simply poured more and more money into research to find " the cure " ? Incidentally, malaria is still with us, and the best way for people not to get it is still to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, or at least to not live in areas where the carrier mosquito is to be found. It is time---way past time---for the government, industry and the ACS to be working hard and seriously on identifying and eliminating the causes of cancer and other degenerative dis-eases, and it's time for them to begin seriously publicizing those causes, so that every average Joe and Jane on the street cannot help but be aware of them. Instead of sponsoring worthless events like " Relay For Life, " the American Cancer Society ought to be tracking down REAL ways Americans can protect themselves from getting cancer, and they ought to be using their funds to PUBLICIZE their findings. It is sick and disgusting that the ACS is serving Americans pork, potato chips and pop at events that are supposedly about " defeating cancer! " They KNOW BETTER THAN THAT! The cure is not to be found in researching better medicine. The cure is to be found in proper methods of prevention. Those methods of prevention need to be identified and vigorously publicized, so that people will no longer have any excuse not to know what to do and what not to do to have the best chance of avoiding cancer, heart dis-ease, diabetes, stroke and other degenerative dis-eases. However, it remains to be seen whether Big Industry, Big Medicine, Big Hospitals, Big Insurance Companies and Big Government will ever agree to give up the charade of looking for a " cure. " There's just too much money and power to be lost, on the one hand, if Americans were to see the light, and too much money and power still to be amassed from ever more " new " refined food products, and ever more " new " ineffective and damaging drugs. If you insist on being a part of this ridiculous " Emperor's New Clothes " effort by The American Cancer Society to find a " cure " for cancer, I can't stop you. But I think you're a lot smarter than that, and I hope you'll decide to instead channel your efforts into putting pressure on the government, on Big Medicine, Big Industry and the American Cancer Society, to identify, eliminate and educate the public on the causes of cancer and other degenerative dis-eases.
