I always use " Alvita " Pau d'Arco teabags. These teas are widely available at vitamin outlet and also various internet health sites where better quality herbal teas are sold. One comment...it is VERY important to boil the tea for at least ten minutes or more to obtain the full benefits! This is one instance where the strength of the tea really DOES make a difference. The stronger, the better, really! This tea is unlike ginger teas.. with ginger the boiling destroys the precious enzymes... with Pau d' Arco the beneficial components seem to be released by HEATING to very high temperatures. Just start out with plenty of spring water initially or you'll wind up with very little to use. <g> The resulting liquid looks very dark and unappetizing... please don't let this deter you. This tea really CURES! I can attest to that! After cooling, if you wish, it may be diluted with extra water and large amounts of ice. I sometimes use some strong licorice tea to dilute it as well, however I believe it is much more effective if you drink it as IS! And for best results... drink it very quickly! FRESHLY made food and teas contain more CHI! We can sacrifice taste in pursuit of health occasionally. Be strong and of Good Courage. <LOL You can do it! God Bless!
