Anna,

I note you've got a sympatico address so you're from Canada. Have a look

at the Green Party's platform. They are the only party with a " prevention

first " strategy. They call it Health, Not Just Health Care.

See their whole platform for Health here:

http://www.greenparty.ca/platform2004/en/policies.php?p=141

The Green Party has the support of many people in the alternative health

movement. That's because we all recognize the interrelationship between

the environment and full health.

They don't directly attack Big Pharma, but they do want to fund *public

research* into prescription pharmaceuticals, vitamins, and and

over-the-counter supplements. This is good, because it removes the

inherent conflict of interest that pharmaceutical companies have in

researching & 'proving' drugs. Plus, public funding gives more of a chance

to vitamins & natural treatments to prove themselves.

The good thing is that like all parties, every vote gives them $1.75.

They're currently at 6% in the polls, which is a huge growth from the last

election. This time around, your vote means something - even for a loosing

candidate. It means popular recognition of the party and its platform, as

well as real money.
