Hello:

I am new to this site. I wrote to the group last week for some

answers to my husband's stomach acid. No one answered my questions,

so I thought I would try again. He has stomach cancer and had

a large tumor removed in Feb. He only has a small stomach left. He

is on the Budwig diet and is doing very well. However he suffers

from too much stomach acid. I was wondering if there is anything I

can give him to help with the stomach acid? I sure would appreciate

any help. Thank-you.

Flo--

Here is what helped me with stomach acid: Do not drink liquids with

meals or snacks or for an hour after. Also avoid drinking liquids for

a half hour before meals or snacks. I read the suggestion years ago

in a natural health newsletter, and I have found it works very well.

It takes up to three days for me to see results with this, but it's

worth it. The reasoning in the newsletter was that liquid dilutes

stomach acid and makes it harder for the stomach to digest food. The

acid is there in your stomach to digest the food. If the stomach has

trouble digesting, it produces more acid. Some of this is

counterintuitive, but it really works.

I wish your husband a healthy recovery.
