Guest guest
At my GP's appointment what would the team suggest I ask him to check? I was thinking of a wide spectrum blood test, but of what? I do not have an under active thyroid. I had written to him thus: " For most of my life I have not had bouncy energy and lack drive. I have low energy reserves. I tend to retreat into doing things that I can do, because of the lack of energy to tackle new things. Ginseng is renowned as an energy booster that counters fatigue, but I do not wish to take it until I have eliminated any known reasons for a low energy levels. Is there someone you can refer me to who will carry out a chemical investigation. I do not want a psychology type treatment, nor do I want mind bending drugs such as prosaic. I think it is dangerous " I am in my mid 50s. In good health. No current illnesses other than slightly elevated Cholesterol. My GP wrote in reply: " Tiredness is a non specific symptom so it is hard to know what to suggest. I am sure that I ought to see you first to examine you and we can decide where to go from there. " I am to see him early next week. Robin
