Guest guest
The British Alliance for Natural Health has scored a major point in the fight against the new European legislative to reduce the availability of natural remedies in the European Union. It has secured a reference to the European Court of Justice challenging the Food Supplements Directive. Why is this important to you, even if you are not in the EU? In the past few years there have been progressively more attempts to curb the use of natural supplements. These attempts, without exception, were strongly lobbied by the pharmaceutical industry. The objective is obvious: if people use less natural remedies, they will need more pharmaceutical drugs. The US has been a save haven for the availability of natural remedies. But for how long? Now that the UK and the Netherlands are about to regulate the availability of natural remedies according to the new European legislative, the US is the only major country where herbs and supplements are freely available. And the pharmaceutical industry is busily working on this last bastion by trying to get the CODEX regulations through, which I have reported on several times earlier. So the European fight will set the stage for that last fight. Read up on the news and support the ANH.
