Guest guest
Hi, Jerry. I am 52 years old. I have a serious problem with receding gums, such that lots of food gets stuck in my teeth and gums, and such that the soft part of my teeth is exposed, causing me to get lots of cavities. I take good care of my teeth---I brush, floss and water pik. I have asked several dentists if there is ANYTHING I can do about the receding gums. They all say no, there is nothing I can do, and they say there is no way to protect the soft part of the teeth from getting cavities. I believe the receding is from two things: 1) both my parents had receding gums. 2) I had chemotherapy when I was in my late 30's. Do you know if there is anything I can do to heal the receding gums, or at least to protect the teeth from getting so many cavities? Thank you for any help. Best wishes, Elliot
