Guest guest
Could someone tell me what a " poultice " is? I have heard of people using 'castor oil poultice' to draw toxins out of their system, but what does poultice mean? Do you put castor oil on rags or something? It would be helpful to have more of an idea of the type of poultice you're considering and its use. There are bread and milk poultices, raw potato poultices, garlic poultices and many others. All have specific benefits for different ills. You may be confusing poultices with castor oil packs. Castor oil packs are frequently used for the pain of endometrosis, fibroids and other female complaints. It may be helpful to visit our Alternative medicine message boards. www.alternative-medicine-message-boards.info There are 375 articles posted there regarding various uses for castor oil and at least one article in particular on castor oil packs. I have an article with a pretty accurate description of how to make them posted on there. This may give you some idea of how to begin. First obtain a very large bottle of castor oil. Locate some very soft cotton fabric (synthetics are NOT useful for this). Fold the material over in numerous layers, saturate it with the castor oil (I would advise using a flannel type material as it is much softer and this type of material will soak up the oil much better. Lay this on your abdomen or wherever the pain is concentrated. put a clean dry cloth over the pack. Then apply a heating pad or rubber hot water bottle over the layers of saturated material. It may be sort of messy but I think you'll find its very effective for pain. I believe that this method can be used for various other types of pain as well. It may be worth your while to read up on the various uses of castor oil packs.Although they are not commonly used in orthodox medicine, castor oil packs are very effective and is one of the more effective alternative remedies. Do not be disturbed or surprised if you notice castor oil in your urine the next day. After the oil is absorbed, it passes on out of the body, having completing the task of eliminating these toxic wastes that are at the root of the pain you're experiencing. Is there a book or listing of the different types available, and what they are used for? Also, in the case of castor oil, does it actually draw the poisons through the skin *into* the poultice, or does it simply draw them out of the liver, and into the normal elimination process of the body. See what i'm saying?
