Tip: Baby carrots beta-carotene is more absorbable then regular carrots and carrots beta-carotene is 500% more absorbable. #2 Cruciferous vegetables-- radish, broccoli, cauliflower, rutabaga, cabbage, turnips, turnip greens, contain indole -3-carbinol, which lowers levels of a type of estrogen that may promote cancer.(16-hydroxy- estradiol and 16-hydroxy-estrone). Tip: Look for BroccoSprouts, a brand of broccoli sprouts with megalevels of SGS, a compound that fights mammary tumors in mice. #3 Warm a mug of 1%-2% of non gmo soymilk, almond milk, or organic hormone free milk , add 1 tbs. ground almonds, pumpkin seed or walnuts or 1/4 tbs. natural almond extract, and enjoy it at bedtime. #4 Eat organic tomatoes, including cooked, dried, soups, juice and sauces to fill up on a compound called lycopene. Diets high in lycopene are linked to lower rates of breast and prostate cancer. Ensure that your tomatoes are organically grown. Tomatoes are currently genetically engineered! #5 Give up the red wine and eat grapes instead. More than one alcoholic beverage a day increases your risk of breast cancer. But concord grapes have cancer-fighting antioxidant power. #6 Eat cold water fish (alaskan salmon, anchovies, sardines) and omega-3 rich nuts and seeds (almonds, macademias, walnut, pumpkin).Research suggests that those with higher tissue levels of omega-3s have lower rates of cancer. #7 Individuals whose diets are higher in vitamin D have less cancer. To ensure that you get the recommended level, add Vitamin D to a healthy diet, advise many experts, especially in climates or lifestyles with out year round sun (20 minutes a day). #8 Eat a small bowl of dark cherries. Cherries are a top source of a compound that inhibits cancer in rats. #9 Compounds called limonoids, found in the peel and white membrane of oranges, inhibit cancers in test tubes. Eat whole fruit oranges and tangerines. Look for herbal teas made w/ orange lemon peel. Use real orange and lemon oils in cooking and health drinks. #10 Avoid refined grains and choose organic whole grains instead. At least one study has shown that women who ate the most refined grains had more breast cancer. Another study showed that those who ate one serving a day of an organic cereal high in rice or oat rice bran lowered their level of cancer -promoting estrogen. #11 Use organic butter over margarine. Studies suggest that a diet higher in trans fats may increase the risk of cancer. Margarine, french fries, both refined and fast-foods, and many processed and fried foods made with hydrogenated fats are a top trans fat source. #12 Drink green tea, hot or cold. Green tea is rich in EGCG, a compound that inhibits cancer cells in mice. Caffienated brands have twice as much potency as uncaffienated. And most bottled brands have little. She received chemo " therapy " and radiation to the extent that her skin was burnt black. She is supposedly in remission now. She says that if the cancer ever returns, she will die before she ever again undergoes radiation treatment. I hope she shares her feelings with as many women as possible. But for every one like her, there are other women who either don't fare as badly or who don't complain as bitterly, and who go on to survive another 5 years or so, which leads other women to follow in their footsteps. Has there ever been a more damaging, less effective " cure " for a dis- ease than mainstream treatment for cancer? If it were horrible and had a 90+ percent cure rate, at least there would be SOMETHING to be said for it. But instead, it is actually 90+ percent ineffective. I couldn't agree more! They say that because of our high risk levels in this modern age, everyone has cancer cells roaming around in their body, so its really not about cancer, the issue I believe is all about growth. If we can keep from feeding the cancer we may live a very long healthy life in spite of it! I am surprised that she survived both chemo and radiation. There are very few that survive both. It doesn't take very much chemo to completely annihilate the immune system. Without the immune system there isn't much hope! What is shocking to me, is that literally noone checks out the survival rates before they undergo this type of treatment. The oasis of hope alternative hospital lists the survival rates of orthodox cancer treatments as less than 3%! With those odds it would be WORSE than playing Russian Roulette. Of course they have it set up so if we get any reimbursement at all from our insurance provider you have to take the required treatment and any alternatives would just be more out of pocket expense to the individual. www.oasisofhope.com I believe that if ...God Forbid... I ever contracted cancer, I would eat a 100% organic fresh diet rich in ENZYMES (fruits, veggies,fish, beans and lentils) eliminating ALL PROCESSED refined, fried foods and ALL refined oils. Everything that I've ever read points to the fact that cancer is linked to our modern day diets with all the resulting additives and growth hormones included! IGF-1 growth hormones which farmers put behind the ears of their cattle before they cart them off to market are directly linked to CANCER GROWTH! A Cancer cell all by itself cannot kill you if it stays in a dormant state controlled by the immune system. The fear of cancer lies in its growth (angiogenesis)! I believe this comes directly from the fake *hormones* that are so plentiful in our modern diets. Thats why milk and DAIRY is SO closely linked to breast,prostate and uterine cancer. Once they are taken in, the synthetic unnatural HORMONES reside in our fatty tissue and unlike our natural hormones they do not pass on out of our body. Instead they latch onto our estrogen receptor sites and recirculate time and time again causing more and more havoc as time goes on. Women are more at risk because of birth control pills, HRT and all those other synthetic hormones we are told to use. Monsanto added IGF-1 to Milk in 1997. These same hormones are also included in red meats, poultry, turkey and eggs, unless it is organic or free range. The additives and residues in our foods play a similar role in cancer growth. When all is said and done I believe that cancer can be effectively controlled with proper diet and lifestyle. I would also add a few select supplements as well. However when health food proponents advise using colostrum for cancer, in my opinion they are just adding insult to injury! Most colostrum although it may have been a healthy food at one time has been perverted by biotech as well. I shudder to think what is going to happen down the road if the lies keep surfacing. In addition many elderly folk are taking growth hormones in the hopes that it will increase their longevity. Unfortunately, Human growth hormone encourages cancer growth as well. A health food store owner once told me that cancer was caused by additives, residues, red meat and constipation.
