It doesn't seem like the local or state medical societies have much of a problem

with letting this guy paractice medicine, but don't let anyone try to tell

anyone about any vitamin, nutrient as that is too dangerous. Also, please note

to watch out for Verizon or they just might put up a web site in your name with

all kinds of false claims also. Frank

Malpractice lawsuits don’t deter surgeon

JAY PATEAKOS 04/19/2004WELLESLEY (AP) -- A dermatologist who began to perform

cosmetic surgery with little formal training has continued practicing medicine

despite several violations and five malpractice lawsuits in the last decade.

Dr. Douglas Wooldridge was punished five times by state regulators between 1996

and 2001 for violations that included practicing medicine while on drugs and

making misleading claims in the Yellow Pages, according to published reports.

'); } //--> The doctor now has a probation agreement that

keeps him from performing most plastic surgery, but some of his former patients

have said Wooldridge is still dangerous to the public.

" He should not be allowed to be in a position to cut people any more, " said

Deborah Ferraro, who settled a malpractice suit against Wooldridge in 2001 after

an alleged botched facelift and breast augmentation. " He was clearly in over his

head. "

Mark Panagiotes, a former patient of Wooldridge, employed a private detective to

find evidence that Wooldridge may have violated his 2003 probation agreement by

performing eyelid lifts and liposuction on a woman last fall. Panagiotes said he

has heavy scarring and an overly tight scalp from hair surgery.

" I can’t imagine how many other Doug Wooldridges there are out there who are

getting the benefit of the doubt just like he is, " Panagiotes said.

Wooldridge, 62, denied that he performs cosmetic surgery anymore and said a Web

site that promotes cosmetic procedures using his name was put up by Verizon

without his knowledge. Verizon has denied the claim.
