Italy:

This morning in Chioggia Italy, Greenpeace’s Esperanza intercepted the

Panama-registered bulk carrier, 'Keoyang Majesty' carrying 40,000

thousands tonnes GE soya from Argentina and demanded an end to the massive

contamination of the Italian food supply from these GE imports.

After 19 hours our action came to an end in Paranagua as our activists prevented

conventional soya being loaded onto the GE contaminated ship -

'Global Wind', the ship has left the port of Paranagua, Parana, Brazil without

loading.

of the Anarcho Aktivist Movement -The AA-Network comprised of Kolektivs from

various strategic areas in luzon Converged for a lighting protest Against Bayer

Crop Science Research & Development Facility loc. in Bae, Laguna. The protest

concerning Anti-GM campaign calls for the withdrawal of Bayer Cropscience

testing field for GM crops. " The location is extremely harmful from an instant

observation as it is situated alongthe national highway that has several

hectares of land planted with GM crop... like the BT-Corn even the pollens are

harmful enough when humans gets exposed to it,furthermore across their office

and testing field site, local communities are around that has been growing

vegetables on the opposite side.We cannot take the risk of exposing it further

as when it comes to contaminating the land with their GM crops plus the

pesticides and other chemicals they may or have been using.Bayer has a

Long history of Environmental Crimes.We Cannot sit down and do nothing about

this issue. " according to an anonymous activist on the protest.
