Hi ,

 

I have a group on cooking and posted on fish oil and one of

the members sent the following post which I am sure you

will find of interest:

 

 

I hope it's ok, I just wanted to add some thoughts and

real life experience on the effects of Fish Oil.

 

Fish Oil is proving to be a valuable treatment.

My daughter has IGA Nephropathy (A kidney disease also known as

Berger's Disease) and she participated in a 5 year study in which one

of the treatments was Fish Oil (and the one she ended up with).

The other treatment that they used in the study was Steroids, so the

Fish Oil is definitely a better choice with virtually no side effects.

It worked miracles for her! She is 23 now and has been

doing extremely well for the past 5 years since she finished

the part of the study where she took the Fish Oil.

It was 3years on the med and 2 years off with continued

testing and monitoring.

 

She is pregnant now with her first child and so far so good....

She's going to be doing some testing for the next couple

of weeks just to be sure that everything is progressing well

and to set a baseline for her pregnancy.
