Guest guest
A bill has been passed limiting the ability of individuals to declare bankruptcy to get out from under credit card debt: http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=15124 Banks just keep mailing out credit card solicitations, and people dumber than I must keep applying for those credit cards. It will all come crashing down on us one of these days. How can it not? The first time I found I was unable to pay my credit card balance the same month I was billed, I cut up my card and trashed it. Since then, I have gotten one again, because it is no longer possible to rent a car without one. But as for the 4 to 8 mail solicitations I receive each month, I use them as a way to get rid of my junk mail. I open up the solicitation envelope, tear up the contents and stuff them back into the postage- paid envelope, then tear up and stuff as much other junk mail as I can into the envelope, also, then tape it shut and mail it back. Unfortunately, this is not having an effect on how many solicitations I get---the senders and the receivers must not have contact with each other---but it's fun, nonetheless!
