Guest guest
Frank, you and others may well already be aware of this person and this site, but it is new to me: bahttp://www.gifam.org/article-025.htm Here's an exerpt: " Given the growth of the medical monster that ate the United States, what can we who live here do to effectively manage our own health. Perhaps the single most important thing that we all must do is to recognize that our health is our most important possession. We have no choice but to accept total responsibility for our own health. To leave such an important consideration to someone who clearly has much to gain by lying to us just does not make sense. Typically, we buy our cars and houses with a great deal more wisdom than we bring to the doctor's office when we go there. The modern orthodox medical community treats symptoms; they do not cure disease. When you visit the doctor, it is perfectly in order for you to ask bluntly whether or not the treatment he wants to give you will cure the disease you have. Some years ago, when I had a serious case of Type II Diabetes, I asked my doctor that question about the treatment he offered me. First he pretended he did not hear me. When I persisted and made eye contact and repeated the question he replied " this is the prescribed treatment " . Such an evasive answer to such a direct question sent me to the library where I did the research to get a better answer. I quickly discovered that the drug he offered me would not only not cure the disease, but that it was guaranteed to put me on the road to becoming an invalid long before my time. Fortunately I rejected his treatment. I went on to search the scientific literature where I quickly found what I needed. It had nothing to do with synthetic drugs. It took me about 3 1/2 months to fully reverse my diabetes. That was seven years ago. The disease remains in full remission to this day. " There we go: " WHEN I PERSISTED AND MADE EYE CONTACT AND REPEATED THE QUESTION, HE REPLIED " THIS IS THE PRESCRIBED TREATMENT. " Yep! If you must visit a doctor, LOOK HIM/HER IN THE EYE AND GET ANSWERS! And if the answers don't compute, get on the internet and do your own research! It's not even difficult to do! When my mom was diagnosed with StageI low-grade lymphoma,(very rare for it to be diagnosed there---usually is in stageIV by the time it's found)the doctor wanted to give her both chemo " therapy " and radiation. I used his own " bible " , the Merck Manual, and told him it said that for StageI low-grade lymphoma, radiation alone is often used with great success. (Please understand that my mother is 80, and knows nothing about alternative treatment, and also lives 1000 miles away, so I there was no way to convince her to do anything alternative.) That oncologist sent me a very annoyed-sounding email saying, " I do NOT practice medicine via the Merck Manual! " But I further annoyed him enough that he got off the case, and turned things over to the radiologist. My mother did have just the radiation, which was terrible all by itself, without the chemo " therapy " , and she is, for all intents and purposes, lymphoma-free nearly two years later. I feel sure my mother would have suffered a tremendously MORE had she had both radiation and chem " therapy " . She was already suffering from severe dry eyes, dry skin and dry mouth, all of which are side- effects of chemo " therapy " . She also already had neuropathy, another side-effect of chemotherapy. She also has heart trouble, and chemo " therapy " is not good for the heart. " Specialists " DO NOT CARE about what else is wrong! Woe to the elderly person who has no primary care physician, but only a series of specialists! Even if they do have a primary care doctor, such doctors are very quick to refer their clients to a specialist. Best wishes, Elliot
