I am posting this to show how alternative natural measures can correct

defiencies or damge caused by toxic substances encountered in our lives.

You can find an alternative health care provider or you can educate yourselves

and probably do a better job. After all it is your health and you will probably

care more about it than others.

Use the links from the links page to learn about natural health. Read the

archives. Read the files section. read the articles in our online message

boards. Do something other than ask what food do I eat?, what nutritional pill

do I take? That wont last you a lifetime of health. Only education will ,

whether it is from an alternative health care provider or from your own

education. It may appear to hard at first ,but most of it is very basic and just

getting used to a new way of thinking and eating and taking care of yourself and

your own specific health concerns with vitamins, nutrients, herbs, and others.

It does not happen overnight, it is a gradual changing in the way that we eat,

in the way that we take nutrients herbs tec. It is a continual learning process

and implementing those changes into your life.

regards,

Frank

One Man’s Triumph Over Raynaud’s Syndrome, Lupus and RA with Dietary Changes

Dr. Mercola's Comment:

Dr. Thomas Brown, mentioned in the story below, passed away 14 years ago. He

developed an innovative alternative to the traditional approach to the treatment

of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) more than 50 years ago. He believed that RA was due

to an infection with an organism called mycoplasma and used antibiotics as an

alternative to treatment with the miracle drug of his time, prednisone.

He was able to help more than 10,000 patients recover from RA during his career.

I have revised his protocol with diet, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and NST

strategies and have helped nearly 3,000 patients recover from RA. However, I

have always been seeking to avoid using the antibiotics to treat this problem.

Although the antibiotics frequently worked and the six-month period of worsening

that was part of Dr. Brown’s protocol was virtually eliminated, I always felt

like I had failed because I had to resort to the use of antibiotics.

Well, last year marked the transition in my version of the antibiotic protocol.

The major change came from the use of metabolic typing. Since we have integrated

metabolic typing with full use of EFT to address the stressors that seem to be

universally present in RA, we have been able to cause RA to routinely go into

remission without the use of antibiotics.

In the story below you’ll read how John Kucharski, who was facing a type of RA,

was able to greatly improve by following the program. In his case, low vitamin D

levels were also a major factor. The inspiring story below really illustrates

just how effective this method can be.

I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s syndrome, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and

was also facing chronic fatigue as a result. But after several years of

unsuccessful treatments, many medications, surgeries and gloomy prognoses I

decided it was time for something else.

I did not believe my doctors when they told me there was no cure. I refused to

accept this.

I came across Dr. Mercola’s name in a book called The Road Back. This book

discussed Dr. Brown’s antibiotic therapy. Dr. Mercola was mentioned as a doctor

who also believed in this therapy. Upon seeing Dr. Mercola he advised me that he

could produce similar results with diet.

At first I was skeptical, however, I soon saw improvements in myself that I had

never achieved with any of the medications I had been on.

I’ve been following Dr. Mercola’s dietary program for approximately five months.

Dr. Mercola performed many of the same tests that my traditional doctor

performed, however, what Dr. Mercola saw was very different. For example I was

extremely deficient in vitamin D. My traditional doctor told me I was fine with

my vitamin D--hmmm! So in addition to the diet I was also taking supplements

such as vitamin D. I noticed significant change in my energy level within the

first month. One of my biggest challenges with my condition was extreme fatigue;

I noticed that I suddenly had much more energy.

Now the fatigue is almost completely gone and I can function as I had before. I

don't want to go to bed at 7 p.m. anymore.

I made a conscious decision before starting this program that I was going to do

it “right.” This meant I would follow it to the letter. I spent several years

not feeling well and I was tired of being tired. What motivated me to stay with

the program was the fact that I saw such a tremendous difference in myself in

such a short time. I thought if I felt this good in one month, how good would I

feel in a year of being on this diet?

Essentially this is not as difficult as I initially thought it would be, it just

takes some getting used to. Basically I have eliminated all refined sugars, have

cut out grain, increased my intake of vegetables and I buy everything I can

organic. Knowing my metabolic type helps guide me toward the type of foods I

need to eat in order to feel good.

Everyone at Dr. Mercola’s office have been very supportive, particularly Jim

Marlowe. His passion for what he does is unlike anything I have ever seen.

I would encourage anyone considering this program to have a good support

network--friends and family who know what you are doing, who are willing to help

and who won’t offer you that piece of cake! Meal planning is essential to

keeping your sanity, if you don’t have a plan it can be very easy to become

overwhelmed and possibly give up. I encourage anyone trying this program to

stick with it; it is worth it.
