EYES WIDE SHUT OR WIDE OPEN?

" Bush: `All Options on the Table' With Iran By JENNIFER LOVEN,

Associated Press Writer Tue Apr 18th 2006 c.e., 9:42 PM ET

WASHINGTON - President Bush said Tuesday that " all options are on

the table " to prevent Iran from developing atomic weapons…. Bush was

asked if his administration was planning for the possibility of a

nuclear strike against Iranian nuclear facilities. " All options are

on the table, " he said…. " source:

As well they should be. While we do not relish the idea of nuclear

weapons being used, if they are used by America to prevent the

lunatics in Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and using those

weapons on a large scale, there seems to be no choice about it The

only way to destroy the Iranian underground installations may well

be the use of so-called " bunker-busting " nuclear weapons. Should the

lunatics in Iran obtain nuclear weapons and use them on a large

scale, retaliation for the use of those weapons would result in an

even wider nuclear bombing of Iran, possibly even the total

obliteration of Iran. The question is whether the most dangerous

people on earth in possession of the most dangerous weapons on earth

can be disarmed before they can use those weapons, or, ideally, can

be prevented from possessing those weapons in the first place.

Clearly we are in a race against time. Weapons of mass destruction

in the hands of lunatics constitutes a threat to the survival of our

planet. Can the lunatics be disarmed in time? Can we prevent the

lunatics from becoming armed with weapons of mass destruction in the

first place? How much time have we

got before it is too late and those weapons start going off in

cities in

America, Israel, Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.? Clearly not much.

The time to

act is now, before it is too late.

" Whether `tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of

outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and,

by opposing, end them? " Hamlet, William Shakespeare

Shakespeare was well aware of the dilemmas caused by lack of

decisiveness.

Indecision is in fact a decision. To avoid action is

to permit other actions to occur. Sir Edmund Burke put it this

way: " All that is necessary for the forces of evil to win in this

world is for a few good men to do nothing. "

We saw the world stand by and do nothing as The Holocaust occurred.

We saw the world stand by and do nothing as Saddam Hussein paid a

bounty for Jewish scalps by paying the families of GENOCIDE BOMBERS

amounts which climbed from $10,000 to $15,000 to $25,000 and would

no doubt have continued to climb had George W. Bush not liberated

Iraq in March of 2003.

The so-called " President Ahmadinejad " of

so-called " Iran " , is excerpted here: " Feb 23rd 2006, IRNA

Iran-President-Speech

the Islamic ummah (nations) " will encounter them more

seriously and with determination now than ever before with their

determination to achieve their longstanding revolutionary

aspirations, " the president stressed.

Noting that there was a clear sign of the hegemonic system beginning

to fade away, Ahmadinejad expressed hope that Muslims of the world

would soon witness the complete collapse of hegemony. " Justice will

be implemented all over the world in the near future, " Ahmadinejad

assured. " source:

The Iranian tyrant is a mad man who may soon have nuclear weapons

which he will then use all over the world if he is not stopped

before he gets those weapons.

America under Bill Clinton covered up the likely Syrian bombing of

TWA Flight 800, and the likely Iraqi bombing of the Federal Building

in Oklahoma City, which had been the site of the election eve 1992

indictment by special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh, of Caspar

Weinberger in the Iran – Contra case. The evidence on Iran-Contra

which linked former President Bush to Saddam Hussein was an

embarrassment to Saddam in the Islamic world, and it was stored in

the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. As Vice President George

Herbert Walker Bush sent a message to Saddam though King Hussein of

Jordan and President Mubarak of Egypt to start bombing Iran on a

large scale during the Iran-Iraq war. Saddam did as he was told

which opened the door for the U.S. to offer Iran missiles to defend

itself from Saddam's air strikes against Iran. That was the

beginning of the Iran-Contra affair. Although former President Bush

armed Saddam he turned against Saddam when Saddam invaded Kuwait in

1990. Saddam later sought to assassinate former President Bush in

Kuwait in 1993.

exploded shortly after takeoff from New York's Long Island, killing

all 230 people on board. "

The background of the likely bombing by Syria of TWA Flight 800 is

given below:

" Winds of War Gust in Turkey and Syria, -Stirring Breezes in America

and Israel By IRA STOLL Forward Staff http://www.forward.com

June 21st 1996 c.e.

Washington- An obscure, half-century-old conflict between Syria and

Turkey is escalating into a near-war with the potential to draw in

Israel and America and create a major shift in the Middle East power

balance.

Syria has moved 40,000 of its troops to the Turkish border, where

there have been isolated exchanges of fire with Turkish troops over

the past few weeks, reported Al-Hayat, an Arabic-language newspaper

based in London. A series of explosions in Syria last month that

caused the State Department to issue a travel advisory for Americans

in that country may have been attempts by the Turkish government to

assassinate both the Syrian dictator Hafez al-Assad, and the leader

of the Kurdish People's Party, known as the PKK, an anti-Turkish

terrorist group backed by Syria, the Financial Times reported.

" It's not a war yet, but it's a crisis, " sad Daniel Pipes, editor of

the Middle East Quarterly. " It's definitely one of the major

flashpoints of the region. There's a potential for all-out war. They

are not that far from it. "

The reports that Turkey was behind the explosions in Syria-reports

viewed by analysts here as credible- may increase the chances that

Israel and America, too, will take the gloves off with Mr. Assad.

Until the Israeli election last month, diplomats from both Israel

and America were courting Mr. Assad in their effort to gain a

comprehensive Middle East peace.

" Syria's been getting off easy all these years, " said Jonathan

Torop, a Soref Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East

Policy. " Maybe this will bring about a response by the Israelis

against the Syrians and not just their surrogates. "

Mr. Torop said the Syrians have been supporting terrorists,

counterfeiting American currency and selling drugs that end up in

American cities. With a change of governments in Israel and an

apparently emboldened Turkey, Mr. Torop said, " it's going to be

more difficult (for Syria) to act with impunity. "

issue. http://www.forward.com

The probable bombing

of TWA Flight 800, most likely because it may have been carrying a

Syrian dissident or dissidents who could have replaced then Syrian

dictator Hafez al-Assad, who has since died and been replaced by

his son, at a time

not long after 2 bomb attempts had been made on Hafez al-Assad's

life, most

likely by Turkey, at a period when there were 40,000 troops on the

Syrian-Turkish border due to Hafez al-Assad's support of the PKK,

the dissident

or dissidents probably lived in Paris, the destination of TWA Flight

800 but could not be killed in either New York, the departure

location

or France as America and France would be embarrassed had the

killing(s) occurred there. The plane was about an hour

late in taking off, the likely bomb was probably set to go off via a

timer, over the ocean and far away from any possibility of recovering

evidence of the crime. Evidence of explosive material was found on

seats on the plane in locations similar to the Pan Am Flight 103

bombing. The Americans, fearful of revealing the truth re-wrote the

evidence story with a flimsy cover that bomb-sniffing dog exercises

had been conducted on the plane. Nonsense, as bomb-sniffing dogs are

used to detect explosive material, before it has gone off, in

concealed devices and luggage, not on airplane seats after the

explosion has gone off. In the Pan Am 103 bombing former JFK Press

Secretary, Pierre Salinger had speculated on Syrian involvement in

the

blast. In the TWA Flight 800 bombing French intelligence fed Salinger

a false story about a US Missile attack on Flight 800, to divert him

from repeating the Syrian track on Flight 800. A Saudi pilot even

claimed to have seen odd green flares over the sight on a later

flight

weeks later. The Saudi king, formerly the Saudi regent is married to

a woman from a prominent

Sunni family in Damascus and has close ties with the Syrian regime.

Syria may also have been responsible for support or more in the

bombings of US Facilities in Saudi Arabia. It certainly is widely

viewed to have bombed the US Embassy in Beirut, the US Marine

Barracks

in Beirut, and of course to have murdered 400 people along with the

Gemayel government to be in Lebanon, to have shelled

thousands of Christians In East Beirut, to have occupied Lebanon, to

have heavy drug involvement In the Bekaa Valley, to print fake US

currency, to back and permit to operate countless terrorist gangs,

does anyone wish to add more charges as the list seems to go on

endlessly. The Assad family and the Baath Party are the true

obstacles

to a Syrian/Israeli peace. The Assads come from the tiny Alawite

minority within Syria. If arrested, tried, convicted, sentenced

appropriately they would not be missed by the vast majority of the

Syrian people. Whoever replaced them could be judged by whether they

withdrew from or remained in Lebanon and whether they sought to

attack Israel by claiming the base from which that attack would be

launched:

The Golan Heights, or whether they sought a peace with Israel which

granted de jure annexation of the Golan Heights to Israel to match

the de facto annexation which has long since occurred, and without

which there cannot be peace between Israel and Syria of a lasting

nature. Syrian control of the Golan would only pre-sage a Syrian

attack on Israel from the Golan. Continued Israeli control of the

Golan assures the peace. Without it there will be war. Other charges

of course include the Probable false-flag recruiting of Amir, who had

been in an elite unit, traditionally a source of intelligence

community recruiting, most likely when he was stationed in the

Baltics, making Amir believe he was working for someone other than

Syria, and the subsequent probable use by Syria of Amir and others to

murder Yitzhak Rabin, former Israeli Prime Minister so that Syria

could falsely claim that Rabin had promised to give Syria the Golan,

a claim only a live Rabin could deny.

We are looking for the name(s) and details of which Saudi investor(s)

bought shares in TWA AFTER TWA FLIGHT 800 went down (and any ties

which may have existed between the Saudi investor (s) and Bin Laden

and or arafat and Saddam Hussein.

American Jihad

The Terrorists Living Among Us

by Steven Emerson

Free Press. 261 pp. $26.00

Reviewed by

Terry Eastland

ON SEPTEMBER 11, Americans learned that

international terrorists were

living in their midst. The intrepid

investigative journalist Steven

Emerson knew this years earlier, as a

result of his own inquiries. In

American Jihad, a short but informative

book, Emerson shows who the

terrorists are, and how they operate.

On Christmas Day in 1992, as a staff reporter for CNN, Emerson was in

Oklahoma City working on a story having nothing to do with terrorism.

Looking for a place to eat, he passed a large group of men in Middle

Eastern garb who were standing outside the city's convention center.

Wandering inside, Emerson found vendors hawking books urging jihad

and

calling for the destruction of Christians and other infidels. A

meeting of the Muslim Arab Youth Association was under way. Emerson

made his way unobtrusively into the main hall where he listened to a

series of unexpurgated calls for killing Jews and annihilating the

West.

What amazed Emerson, as he recounts here, was that he was hearing all

of this not in the Middle East but in middle America. The FBI, he

subsequently learned from his sources in the agency, had not known

about the gathering. Nor would it have conducted an investigation if

it had known, since its mandate was to probe " criminal activity and

not simply hateful rhetoric. " Two months later, when the first World

Trade Center bombing occurred, Emerson wondered whether what he had

seen in Oklahoma City might somehow be connected to the attack.

To find out, he left CNN and, arranging with PBS to produce a

documentary on radical Islam and domestic terrorism, started an

investigative project that he still heads. " We discovered, " he

writes,

that " international terrorist organizations of all sorts had set up

shop here in America. They often took advantage of religious, civic,

or charitable organizations " -fooling the public, police, and " naive

leaders of religious or educational institutions " who sponsored such

groups in the name of " multiculturalism " or " diversity. " PBS

broadcast

Emerson's Jihad in America on November 21, 1994. The documentary won

several awards, but not before it had been assailed as biased and

even

" racist " by American Muslim organizations and some mainstream U.S.

newspapers. Emerson himself became a target of verbal abuse at

meetings similar to the one he had beheld in Oklahoma City. He tells

of attending one Muslim convention where a speaker shouted, " Steven

Emerson is the enemy of Islam! Are we going to let Steven Emerson

tell

us what to do? " " No, " the crowd roared. " I sat there sweating, "

writes Emerson. " Thankfully, I had altered my appearance . . . [and]

no one noticed me. " Not long afterward, he was alerted by the FBI

that

a foreign Muslim group was plotting to kill him.

American Jihad zeroes in mainly on three international terrorist

groups whose tentacles began to reach into the United States at least

as early as the 1980's. These are Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and al

Qaeda-the very same organizations singled out by President Bush in

his

State of the Union address this January and the last-named of which

was responsible for the devastation of September 11. What Emerson

shows is how they have operated on American soil: how they have

recruited freely, focusing especially on persons bearing U.S.

passports; how they have raised money; and how they have built

clandestine networks in the service of planning mayhem and spilling

blood.

Fundraising in the United States has been facilitated by the use of

seemingly above-board organizations making seemingly above-board

pitches-to help needy children, for example-the money from which has

then been diverted elsewhere. A case in point is the Holy Land

Foundation for Relief and Development based in Richardson, Texas,

whose assets were frozen by the Treasury Department this past

December

after the FBI concluded that its funds had been used to support Hamas

activities in the Middle East.

Raising money is not the only purpose served by establishing

" charitable " fronts. " By far the most important tactic " employed by

terrorist groups, writes Emerson, has been the use of nonprofit and

religious organizations to create " a zone of legitimacy " within which

planning for illegal action can occur. Until recently, the FBI has

been unable to penetrate this zone, " barred, " as the Washington Post

has reported, " even from collecting news clippings on such groups,

unless they could show a crime had been committed. " Under these

circumstances, Emerson's own research has proved an invaluable

resource. In the aftermath of September 11, his assiduously amassed

files have been in great demand by law-enforcement officials and

congressional investigators alike.

American Jihad is by no means a comprehensive treatment of the

terrorist threat to America. Concentrating mostly on Islamist

radicals, Emerson has little to say about other terrorist operatives

working against us, including those in the employ of secular Arab

regimes like Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Nor does he take up the complex

question of how best to prevent terrorism and disrupt and finally

destroy the groups responsible for it. Still, American Jihad is a

valuable primer on the threat within our borders-and one that is both

accurate and fair.

It is important to emphasize this last point because, ever since his

1994 documentary, Emerson has been the object of a denunciatory

campaign as an anti-Muslim bigot and worse. In American Jihad,

Emerson

emphasizes that the problem he has identified is " confined to a

relatively small slice of all American Muslims. " But neither does he

shrink from insisting that " mainstream " Muslim organizations take

responsibility for what happens at their conferences and is issued in

their name. It was, after all, Abdelrahaman Alamoudi, a founding

member of the American Muslim Council, who at a demonstration in 2000

opposite the White House declared: " Hear that, Bill Clinton: we are

all supporters of Hamas. Allahu akhbar. I wish to add that I am also

a supporter of Hizbullah. "

Groups that put incendiary speakers at their microphones or that

permit themselves to be used by radicals bent on jihad, should be

exempt neither from criticism nor from the scrutiny of the law. But

the sad fact is that, for far too long, groups preaching hatred and

violence have indeed escaped scrutiny. If Emerson's warnings had been

heeded when he first issued them, our country might not be in the

difficult straits in which it finds itself today.

" The one Army link established in the case so far is the bond shared

by McVeigh and Terry Nichols. The two men joined up on the same day

in

May 1988 and went through basic training together at Fort Benning,

Georgia. They were then stationed together in the same company at

Fort

Riley enter Iraq during the Gulf War. Nichols was discharged for

undisclosed reasons in May 1989, but McVeigh rose to sergeant and

went

on to serve in Operation Desert Storm, where he won several medals,

including a Bronze Star. Although the awards were described by

Pentagon officials as " typical " for those who served in the theater,

one

officer notes, " Some captains and majors didn't get Bronze Stars, so

he must have been a half-decent soldier. " That is an understatement,

says Robin Littleton, McVeigh's army roommate and one of his closest

friends in the service. " Tim was the perfect soldier, " Littleton told

Time. " I swear to God he could have been sergeant major of the Army -

he was that good of a soldier. " One of his former commanders, Captain

Terry Guild, 28, now stationed in Hawaii, agrees: " He was a very

normal, good American serving his country. " according to the

Anti-Defamation League last week, McVeigh in 1993 ran an ad to sell a

military launcher in the Spotlight, a publication put out by the

right-wing Liberty Lobby. Though the notice ran under an alias, T.

Tuttle, it listed a Kingman address, and authorities say McVeigh has

been known to use Tuttle as an alias. "

RE ABOVE: ANYONE who watched " Smiley's People " on PBS or who has read

Spy novels by John LeCarre is familiar with the practice of building

a

" legend " and creating a " sponsor " . The " legend " for

McVeigh would include an obsession with the cult film BRAZIL from

whom

the Tuttle character mentioned above is derived and interestingly

enough linking McVeigh through the ad mentioned above to

the group mentioned above. That group was the defendant in a case

described in Mark Lane's PLAUSIBLE DENIAL, which dealt with the

assassination of former President Kennedy which was defended by Mark

Lane. More on that book and that assassination another time.

Ralph Nader and Chuck Harder

....if anyone has documentation about Ralph Nader's contributions to

Chuck Harder's syndicated hate talk

radio show, I'd appreciate it being posted to the list. Last year,

when I wrote the Chicago and Milwaukee

Area columns for RadioDigest.com, I made reference to this seemingly

odd combine, partly because I

used to be a board operator for a station in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that

was an affiliate of Harder's

People's Radio Network and was on-duty as Nader's appearances were

being made. This was about a

year before the Oklahoma City bombing; as Terry Nichols' Michigan

farm

was being raided, Tom

Brokaw reported on NBC that Harder's daily " For The People " program

apparently inspired much of

Nichols' and McVeigh's anti-government activity. Harder's program, as

well as others that his network

aired (including one hosted via phone by Lyndon LaRouche from the

prison where he was serving his

credit card fraud sentence!), boosted the neofascist " militia "

movement and regularly had " militia "

members and commanders as guests. When I pointed that out in my

columns, I got a ton of e-mail

expressing incredulity that Nader had such an association, and even

more from Naderites accusing me of

everything short of raping the writers' respective grandmothers...

have been moved from their cells to the recreation area. " They talk

about innocuous things like the movies, " Kleinman said. " They don't

talk about anything that they shouldn't be talking about "

The Philippines is the basis an interesting link between Ramsey

Yousef

and the bombing of the World Trade Center, Terry Nichols and the

bombing of the Murrah Building, Osama bin Laden. April 25, 1997

Electronic Telegraph Issue 700 A prosecutor in Denver said yesterday

that the " hate-filled " mastermind of the bombing in Oklahoma City

that

killed 168 people was involved in a Right-wing plot . McVeigh's

lawyer, Stephen Jones, is expected to suggest that a foreign

government, " probably Iraq " hired " a Middle Eastern bombing engineer "

to detonate the explosion with the help of neo-Nazis. In a court

petition, lawyers say the attack was " contracted out " through an

Iraqi

base in the Philippines and it was " possible that those who carried

out the bombing were unaware of the true sponsor " . Was Stephen Jones

on the right track and what was behind the evidence he wanted to

introduce into the McVeigh trial but could not? Some clues may lie in

another link with the Phillipines that involved McVeigh's

co-conspirator Terry Nichols November 22, 1994 (See NY Times

December 24, 1997) Terry Nichols left for a 59 day stay in the

Phillipines. He left letters, with his ex-wife, Lana Padilla,

explaining what to do in case he died. Three days after he returned

on

January 16, 1995, he was sharing a motel room in Kansas with Mr.

Mc.Veigh. What was the purpose of this visit? Why was he so concerned

that he might die? Did he meet with Ramsey Yousef, who at the same

time was testing a plan to blow up airliners in the Philippines and

who was later convicted in the bombing of the World Trade Center? Did

Nichols receive training there on how to construct and detonate large

bombs? Was he fearful that there could be an accident during his

training? December, 1994 (See TIME magazine July 29, 1996) Ramsey

Yousef tests his plan for attacking U.S. carriers by boarding a

Philippine Airlines flight on the first leg from the Philippines to

Japan. He carried with him the components of a bomb, unassembled in

his carry-on bag. On board he assembled the bomb, which was made of

gun cotton, a nitroglycerine solution packed into a contact-lens

bottle. He tucked the bomb under a cushion and left the plane after

its first stop in the Philippine city of Cebu. Two hours later the

device exploded killing a passenger. Cebu is the city where in July

1990 Nichols travelled to find a mail-order bride and met Marife

Torres. He was 35, she was 17 and they were married there on November

20, 1990. (NY Times December 24, 1997) An associate of Ramsey Yousef,

Edwin Angeles, had been arrested in the Phillipines where he was

contacted by McVeigh's attorney, Stephen Jones. Angeles linked

Nichols

(a.k.a. `the farmer') to Yousef in a meeting on the island of

Mindanao. In his book `Others Unknown', Jones describes that at a

meeting in Davao, Angeles met an American who introduced himself as

`the farmer'. Among those present at the meeting were Ramsey Yousef,

Abdul Hakim Murad, and Wali Khan Amin Shah. The meeting was to

discuss

terrorism and Murad, Khan and Yousef would later be defendants in the

plot to blow up twelve U.S. airliners. All were convicted on

September

5, 1996 and are in American prisons. On April 19, 1995, Murad told

his guard in his New York cell that the Oklahoma city bombing was the

work of Islamic Jihad. But back to Yousef and the World Trade Center

bombing where we find a link also between him and Iraq .September 15,

1996 The Telegraph (U.K. Electronic Edition) Issue 480 According

to Dr Mylroie, the attempt to blow up the twin towers of the World

Trade Centre in New York on February 26, 1993 .... was an act of

Iraqi

state- sponsored terrorism conducted by proxies. After studying the

telephone records and document archives from the trial, she has

concluded that the mastermind said to be behind the bombing, a

shadowy

figure called Ramsi Yousef, was working for Iraqi intelligence. The

Justice Department did not address this issue in the official

investigation. It concluded that the bombing was the work of Islamic

fundamentalists loyal to a blind Egyptian cleric. Jim Fox, then head

of the New York FBI office, suspected Iraqi involvement but says that

the Washington headquarters refused to look at the evidence. June 3,

1997 Electronic Telegraph Issue 739 Painted by prosecutors as a

fanatical bomber obsessed with a warped sense of patriotism, Timothy

McVeigh, convicted of the Oklahoma bombing, gave his attorneys no

help

in establishing an alibi.... Judge Richard Matsch kept a tight hold

on

the trial, the judge refused to allow Stephen Jones, McVeigh's lawyer,

to present an alternative theory, gathered after spending $10 million

travelling the world, that an international conspiracy was

responsible. Many of the victim's relatives are so concerned at

evidence of this aspect that they are suing the government, insisting

that the FBI had prior knowledge of the blast. March 30, 1997

Electronic Telegraph Issue 674 Dennis Mahon must lead a charmed life.

The FBI has pursued endless leads into the 1995 Oklahoma bombing,

collecting more than 26,000 witness statements. But it has never been

to visit him at his bungalow in Tulsa. The omission is curious.

Mahon,

47, is an associate of the government's chief suspect, Tim McVeigh.

Indeed, McVeigh's defence team says Mahon sent a tape to their client

in prison urging him to accept his " sacrifice " and reminding him in a

subtle way that members of his family were vulnerable. Before the

bombing on April 19, 1995, he was the subject of a terrorism

investigation which generated allegations that he was plotting to

blow

up a federal building in Oklahoma. In case the authorities had

overlooked this, an undercover informant reminded the FBI two days

after the bombing that she had told them that Mahon had made three

trips to Oklahoma City. On one visit in 1994, the informant said he

" cased " the building that was attacked. A former Imperial Wizard of

the Ku Klux Klan and now a leader of the more militant White Aryan

Resistance, Mahon has never made a secret of his extremism. He has

called for the overthrow of the United States government by " any

means " and regards it as an honour to have been barred from Britain

and Canada. " I always deliver my bombs in person, in disguise, " he

said mischievously. " I can look like a hispanic or even a Negro. I'm

the master of disguise. " He has kept his sense of humour, despite

being the chief target of McVeigh's defence team in the trial that

starts tomorrow. McVeigh's lawyers have introduced documents in court

asserting a " high probability " that Mahon and his friend Andreas

Strassmeir, a former German army officer, were behind the Oklahoma

bombing. " This is where I make my bombs, " he said, giving me a tour

of

a workshop attached to his house. " Just kidding. Everybody seems to

think I did the bombing. Even the Iraqis think I did it, " he

explained, saying he had been on the Iraqi payroll as a propagandist

for more than three years. " They paid me $100 a month. "

chat Timothy J. McVeigh convicted of carrying out the Oklahoma City

bombing, while Ramzi Ahmed Yousef is a Muslim terrorist who

masterminded the World Trade Center attack. The prison, the United

States Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence,

Colo., is so secure that it is known as Super Max. McVeigh, Kaczynski

conversations with McVeigh through the fence and also as they have

been moved from their cells to the recreation area. " They talk about

to accept the evidence March 21, 2001 WorldNet Daily

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=22122

A former investigative reporter for the NBC affiliate in Oklahoma

City

last night told Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly she has gathered

massive evidence of a foreign conspiracy involving Saudi terrorist

leader Osama bin Laden in the 1995 bombing of the federal building

that killed 168 people. Jayna Davis, former reporter for KFOR-TV in

Oklahoma City, says she took her evidence-including hundreds of court

records, 24 sworn witness statements and reports from law

enforcement,

intelligence and terror experts-to the FBI, which refused even to

accept the material. Two men were convicted of murder and conspiracy

charges in the bombing-Timothy McVeigh, who faces execution May 16,

and Terry Nichols, who yesterday asked that Oklahoma charges against

him be dismissed as he has already been convicted in federal court.

Nichols, 45, is serving a life prison sentence for his federal

conviction on eight involuntary manslaughter counts and conspiracy

for

the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

State prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Nichols. But

defense attorneys said yesterday constitutional protection against

double jeopardy bars the state from seeking the death penalty. Davis

said federal authorities investigating the bombing decided early on

in

the probe that the blast was the result of a domestic conspiracy, not

a foreign one, ignoring all evidence to the contrary. She said a

Middle East terrorist cell was in operation only blocks from the

federal building, and that an Iraqi national who formerly served in

Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard was in contact with McVeigh the day

of the bombing. She said this suspect arrived at the crime scene in a

Ryder truck moments before the blast and sped away in a brown

Chevrolet pickup truck immediately after. An all-points bulletin was

issued for this suspect, but was later withdrawn inexplicably. Davis

said her evidence indicates a conspiracy involving McVeigh, Nichols

and at least seven men of Middle Eastern ethnic background. She

called

bin Laden the mastermind of the conspiracy. " The evidence we have

gathered definitely implicates McVeigh and Nichols, " she said. " I

want

to make that very clear. They were in it up to their eyeballs. "

Davis

also points to court records offered in the Nichols defense that

suggest he had contacts with a member of bin Laden's terrorist

organization in the Philippines prior to the bombing. When she took

her hundreds of pages of documentation of conspiracy in the bombing

to

the FBI, Davis said agents " turned me away and refused to take my

statements. " " I was flabbergasted, " she told O'Reilly. " I am unable

to imagine any reason they would not accept it. " But McVeigh supplies

strange hints to both Osama bin Laden and Ramsey Yousef Friday, April

27, 2001 1:41 a.m. EDT NewsMax.com A month after a former NBC News

reporter went public with evidence of links between Oklahoma City

bomber Timothy McVeigh and Middle Eastern terrorist Osama bin Laden,

McVeigh himself has cited bin Laden in a letter to the Fox News

Channel., McVeigh -tossed in the chilling reference to the notorious

Muslim terrorist. McVeigh mentioned convicted World Trade Center

bomber Ramzi Yousef, in perhaps another indication of a Middle

Eastern

connection to his own crime. " For all else, I would refer you to my

enclosed paper `Hypocrisy,' and to Ramzi Yousef's statement to the

court just prior to his sentencing. I filter all labels and insults

thusly. " In the Jan. 8, 1998, court statement to which McVeigh

referred, Yousef proclaimed, " Yes, I am a terrorist and proud of it

as

long as it is against the U.S. government, " before being sentenced to

240 years in jail.Last month former NBC reporter Jayna Davis told Fox

News Channel's Bill O'Reilly that compelling evidence links McVeigh

to

a Middle Eastern terrorist cell ultimately controlled by bin Laden.

" What we discovered, an intelligence source at one of the highest

levels in the federal government later confirmed, was a Middle

Eastern

terrorist cell living and operating in the heart of Oklahoma City

just

a few miles from the Alfred P. Murrah building, " Davis said. Her NBC

affiliate had located several witnesses who claimed that an Iraqi

national with ties to Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard was seen in

the company of McVeigh just prior to the bombing, Davis said. The

Iraqi was also seen driving away from the bomb scene in a car

identified by the FBI as a possible getaway vehicle. " We have 24

sworn

witness affidavits that tie seven to eight Arab men to various stages

of the bombing plot from the beginning all the way to the day in

which

the plot was executed, " the former NBC reporter told O'Reilly. " It

really is a foreign conspiracy masterminded and funded by Osama bin

Laden, according to my intelligence sources, " she asserted. Davis is

not alone in that belief. In his 1999 book on the Oklahoma City

tragedy, " Others Unknown, " McVeigh's lawyer Stephen Jones made

similar

claims, citing a meeting in the early 1990s between World Trade

Center

bomber Yousef and McVeigh's partner, Terry Nichols, in the

Philippines, which he called a " hotbed of fundamentalist Muslim

activity. " Jones said his research shows that bin Laden was in the

Philippines at the same time as Yousef and Nichols. Both Jones and

Davis said federal investigators were uninterested in exploring any

possible Middle Eastern connection to the crime. [For further details

Iraqi Connection to Oklahoma Bombing

Posted March 25, 2002

By Kenneth R. Timmerman

Saudi Crown Prince Abdallah reportedly rejected a direct request

from Vice President Dick Cheney during a March 16 meeting in Jeddah

that Saudi Arabia support a U.S.-led attack on Iraq. Other Arab

countries have followed suit. But new information linking Iraq to

terrorist attacks against the U.S. mainland could at least change

the equation or at least the U.S. resolve to move against Iraq

unilaterally if necessary.

President George W. Bush and top administration officials have

expanded the war on terror to include regimes, such as Iraq's, that

are developing weapons of mass destruction. In testimony March 19

before the Senate Armed Services Committee, CIA Director George

Tenet made clear that Iraq's ongoing nuclear-weapons program

constitutes a clear and present danger to the United States. The

president repeatedly has said the same. But until now the United

States has taken no steps to deploy the forces most observers

believe would be necessary to support military action to depose

Saddam Hussein.

That was before an Oklahoma City lawyer named Mike Johnston, aided

by Larry Klayman of Judicial Watch, filed a federal lawsuit against

Iraq on behalf of victims of the Oklahoma City bombing. The lawsuit

alleges that " the entire plot to blow up the Murrah Building on

April 19, 1995, in whole or in part, was orchestrated, assisted

technically and/ or financially and directly aided by agents of the

Republic of Iraq. "

The facts Johnston and his team of investigators uncovered could

blow the lid off the U.S. government cover-up of the " others

unknown " who conspired with Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols to

murder 168 Americans. If proven, says Richard Perle, chairman of the

Bush administration's advisory Defense Policy Board, " it would add a

lot to the justification of what we do. " However, Perle cautioned

INSIGHT in an interview, " The case against Saddam is so powerful it

would be unnecessary and unwise to pin our case on one single act,

however heinous. We're looking at the aggregate of the indictment of

Iraq: their weapons of mass destruction, their refusal to allow U.N.

arms inspectors into the weapons facilities, their support for

terrorism. If we clutched at one single act, some people might see

it as an excuse. "

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. district court in Washington on March 14,

alleges that convicted Oklahoma City conspirator Nichols met

repeatedly in the Philippines with World Trade Center bomber Ramzi

Youssef, and that Youssef was an Iraqi intelligence agent. If these

allegations are confirmed in court, they constitute a stunning

indictment of Iraqi state complicity in murderous attacks on the

United States well before Sept. 11.

As if anticipating new developments on the terrorism front, CIA Tenet told the Senate Armed Services Committee in unusually

frank testimony on March 19 that the United States now is actively

examining potential Iraqi and Iranian involvement in the Sept. 11

attacks.

" As to where we are in [investigating] Sept. 11, the jury's out, "

Tenet told senators. " And it would be a mistake to dismiss the

possibility of state sponsorship, whether Iranian or Iraqi, and

we'll see where the evidence takes us. "

THE STRUGGLE FOR CIVILIZATION AGAINST TERROR

Police link Calcutta shooting to Sept 11

http://in.news./020123/64/1edwh.html

Wednesday January 23, 3:07 PM

By Sanjeev Miglani

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Police probing a shooting at a

U.S. cultural centre in Calcutta said on Wednesday they

were following a trail that led all the way to those involved in

the September 11 attacks on the United States.

An official from India's Central Bureau of Investigation

(CBI) told Reuters New Delhi had prepared a dossier on

links between militant groups operating in India and those

suspected of carrying out the airliner attacks on the World

Trade Center.

The file had been given to U.S. authorities.

TRAIL LEADS TO U.S. ATTACKS

India's foreign ministry said responsibility for the attack on the

American Center in crowded downtown Calcutta

was claimed by a Dubai-based man, named as Farhan, who had links with

some Pakistan-based militant groups.

He is also known variously as Aftab Malik and Aftab Ansari and

officials Calcutta police say one of the groups

he has been linked to claimed it carried out the attack in revenge

for

the death in police custody of alleged militant

Asif Raza Khan.

That group, Harkat-e-Jihad-e-Islami, also reportedly has operations

in

Bangladesh, which has tightened security

along its border with India and around U.S. installations in the

country in the wake of the Calcutta killings.

Police investigating the raid said the trail led all the way to the

September 11 attacks on the United States.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said New Delhi had prepared

a dossier on links between militant groups in India and the suspects

of the World Trade Center attacks, which it had given to U.S.

authorities.

A senior police intelligence officer told Reuters Khan had once

confessed to sending money via an intermediary

to Mohamed Atta, the Egyptian believed to have flown one of the

hijacked planes into the World Trade Center.

U.S. Consul-General in Calcutta Christopher Sandrolini said it was

too

early to know whether the attack on the

American Center was targetted specifically at the United States. "

now to return to the article being quoted:

" The evidence could take the CIA and the White House to both Middle

Eastern states, as Tenet made clear. " The distinctions between Sunni

and Shia [islam] that have traditionally divided terrorist groups

are not distinctions you should make anymore because there is a

common interest against the United States and its allies in this

region, and they will seek capability wherever they can get it, " he

said. Saddam Hussein and his governing Baathist elite are

predominantly Sunni, while neighboring Iran is majority Shiite. Both

have helped Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, U.S.

counterterrorism officials now believe.

Some of the evidence cited in the complaint was developed by Stephen

Jones, the McVeigh defense attorney who first aired allegations of

Iraqi involvement in his book Others Unknown: Timothy McVeigh and

the Oklahoma City Bombing Conspiracy. But other facts will surprise

even veteran Oklahoma City watchers, who long have known the

government was withholding evidence, as Department of Justice

Inspector General Glenn A. Fine admitted in an official report

released on March 18.

Jones tells INSIGHT that the new allegations, combined with evidence

he had uncovered earlier, bear the weight of prima facie evidence of

a broader conspiracy involving Iraq.

" We went to the Philippines four times to investigate Terry Nichols'

meetings with Ramzi Youssef and other known terrorists, " Jones tells

INSIGHT. That evidence, now being expanded by Johnston and his

investigators, includes testimony from Edwin Angeles, a Philippine-

government intelligence operative who was infiltrated into the top

echelon of the radical Islamic terrorist group known as Abu Sayyaf.

Angeles " turned himself in " to Philippine authorities in December

1994 and provided videotaped testimony to an American private

investigator working for Jones who interviewed him in the Basilan

provincial jail. On the tape, never admitted into evidence at the

Oklahoma City trial, Angeles says he met on several occasions with

Youssef, coconspirators Abdul Hakim Murad, Wali Khan Amin Shah and a

visiting American known as " The Farmer. "

At one meeting in late 1994 in Davao on the island of Mindanao, a

hotbed of Muslim extremism, the group discussed specific terrorist

targets in the United States, including the federal building in

Oklahoma City, as INSIGHT reported last November (see " Iraq

Connection to U.S. Extremists, " Nov. 19, 2001). Angeles then made a

sketch of The Farmer that he gave to the investigators. Says

Jones: " The man it depicted was a dead ringer for Terry Nichols. "

According to Jones, as well as new witnesses uncovered by Johnston

and his investigators working on the ground in the Philippines,

Nichols went to the Philippines to learn bomb-making techniques in

late 1994 after he and McVeigh had attempted unsuccessfully to build

an explosive device. " In October, " Jones says, " Tim couldn't blow up

a rock. Then Terry goes to the Philippines, and Tim says he builds

the bomb. " Despite repeated demands from his lawyers for the truth,

McVeigh " never accounted for how he learned to build the bomb, "

Jones says. Jones and Johnston believe it was Nichols who brought

back that expertise from the Philippines after extensive meetings

with bomb expert Youssef.

Nichols' father-in-law, a Filipino policeman named Torres, told

Philippine-government investigators that he had found bomb-making

manuals in Nichols' luggage in late 1994 when Nichols stayed at the

family's home in Cebu City, at precisely the same time Angeles

placed Nichols in meetings there with Youssef. The FBI claims Torres

retracted these statements, but Jones says he reaffirmed them in

subsequent depositions with Philippine authorities. " To me, that

increased his credibility, " Jones tells INSIGHT.

And then there's the strange package Nichols left with his ex-wife

in the United States before making the last of his many previously

tranquil trips to the Philippines. In the package, which he

instructed her to open only if he didn't return to the United States

within 90 days, Nichols included a letter to McVeigh ( " You're on

your own, " he wrote). He also left what amounted to a will,

instructing his ex-wife in the event of his death to reclaim gold

bars, $20,000 in cash and other monetary instruments from a hidden

cache.

" We have reason to believe that Terry Nichols was planning to take

part in Project Bojinka [the plot to attack U.S. airliners], "

Johnston tells INSIGHT. " He only returned to the United States after

Ramzi Youssef's plans were foiled and Youssef fled the Philippines

for Pakistan. " Youssef was arrested by Pakistani authorities in

February 1995 and promptly extradited to the United States to stand

trial for the 1993 bomb attacks on the World Trade Center.

Youssef's past has proved elusive. When he was brought to trial for

the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, he was presented as a

Palestinian refugee who grew up in Kuwait and traveled to

Afghanistan in the late 1980s to join forces with bin Laden.

But new evidence uncovered by Johnston and his investigators

suggests that Youssef may have had direct ties to Iraqi intelligence

all along. " We have sworn witness statements and affidavits from

court cases that predate the Oklahoma City bombing that directly tie

Ramzi Youssef to Dr. Ihsan Barbouti, " Johnston tells INSIGHT. " The

witnesses say Barbouti introduced Ramzi Youssef as an `explosives

expert for the Iraqi National Oil Company,' and that Youssef was

working in Kuwait for Barbouti prior to the Iraqi invasion. "

Johnston says that he believes Barbouti was married to a member of

Saddam Hussein's al-Tikriti clan. In tribal Iraq, such ties create

bonds of absolute loyalty.

In January 1995, the record shows Youssef was mixing explosives in a

Manila apartment with Abdul Hakim Murad when his deadly brew caught

fire, billowing smoke into the hallway and the street. The pair

fled, but Murad went back after the fire to retrieve a computer hard

drive containing evidence of their terrorist plans and was arrested.

Once Youssef was extradited to the United States, the FBI decrypted

the files and found detailed plans, code-named Project Bojinka, to

blow up 11 U.S. airliners over the Pacific.

On the day of the Oklahoma City bombing, Murad summoned his prison

guards in a New York jail and told them he had important information

about the attack. In a signed statement, he said it had been carried

out by the Liberation Army of the Philippines. Questioned about that

allegation in jail, Angeles was quick to correct him, Jones

says. " It had nothing to do with the Philippines, Angeles told our

investigator. It was the Palestine Liberation Army [PLA] that Abdul

Hakim was referring to, working with Islamic Jihad. "

The PLA was established in 1979 after the Camp David Peace Accord by

Saddam Hussein, who was then chairman of a radical Arab coalition

known as the Front of Refusal. The PLA trained in Iraq and had units

that this reporter encountered in Lebanon in the early 1980s. No one

besides Jones has until now picked up on Angeles' claim of their

involvement in the Oklahoma City bombing.

The new legal complaint by Oklahoma City victims argues the

attack " was an illegal continuation of the Persian Gulf War " and

that Iraq had the " means, opportunity and motive " to carry it out.

It contends Youssef was the main vehicle of the conspiracy working

through Nichols, who became " a willing convert " to Youssef's anti-

American agenda during his frequent meetings in the Philippines.

But troubling new evidence directly tying McVeigh to Iraq also is

beginning to emerge. In McVeigh's lengthy March 1998 " Essay on

Hypocrisy, " in which he explained his motives for the bombing, he

repeatedly compared his actions in taking the lives of U.S.

government workers to U.S. air strikes on Iraq. " The people of the

nation approve the bombing of government employees because they

are `guilty' by association they are Iraqi government employees, "

McVeigh wrote. " In regard to the bombing in Oklahoma City, however,

such logic is condemned. "

Last October, U.S. News & World Report revealed in its " Washington

Whispers " column that McVeigh was carrying Iraqi telephone numbers

when he was arrested on the day of the bombing. Sources tell INSIGHT

that the phone numbers apparently were contained in a sealed manila

envelope that was turned over to the FBI unopened by the Oklahoma

state troopers who arrested McVeigh. The FBI logged in the evidence

as " manila envelope with content, " but never disclosed what was

inside.

Yet another potential Iraqi connection to the Oklahoma City bombing

is being promoted by a former Oklahoma City TV reporter named Jayna

Davis, who claims to have discovered an Iraqi terrorist network

embedded within the Arab immigrant community in the city.

According to Davis, she found a " perfect match " when she compared

the sketch of John Doe No. 2 to video surveillance photos of an

Iraqi refugee named Hussein al-Hosseini. Davis ran several TV news

reports on al-Hosseini and a mysterious brown pickup truck spotted

by eyewitnesses at the scene of the bombing in the weeks following

the attack. She alleged that a similar pickup was seen before the

attack at the house where al-Hosseini was staying. Davis tells

INSIGHT she didn't know how many brown pickups were registered in

Oklahoma, but that the truck at al-Hosseini's house disappeared

after the bombing.

Davis was sued by al-Hosseini for libel after airing her allegations

on KFOR-TV. But she insists that he never provided a convincing

alibi for his whereabouts at key moments in the Oklahoma City

conspiracy. After extensive civil-court proceedings, al-Hosseini

dropped the lawsuit and has dropped out of view.

Davis admits she never successfully penetrated al-Hosseini's past,

nor investigated his contradictory claims to have been a member of

Iraq's elite Republican Guard or just an ordinary military conscript

who subsequently requested and received political asylum in the

United States. While Davis has presented the information she

gathered on al-Hosseini and his friends to congressional staffers

and to former counterterrorism officials who told INSIGHT they

were " intrigued " by her findings her allegations of an Iraqi

connection to the Oklahoma City bombing, while promising, remain

tenuous.

But one thing is clear: Bill Clinton and Janet Reno exulted when

they found a domestic conspiracy behind the Oklahoma City bombing,

say administration insiders, and immediately ordered the FBI to call

off its investigation of any international connection. Details of

that connection finally are beginning to emerge.

here's what we know. What we know is, the two individuals who ended

as the recipient of the money-or at least it was through-or their

families ended up as the recipients of the money-are these two Saudi

students in San Diego, Mr. Omar al-Bayoumi and Mr. Osama Basnan. Now,

they turn out to be not your run-of-the-mill Saudi students. Mr.

Bayoumi, under his own account, just happened to run into the two

hijackers, al-Midhar and al-Hazmi, right after they landed in LAX,

straight from an al Qaeda terrorist summit in Kuala Lumpur in January

2000. By his account, he just happened to overhear them speaking

Arabic at an L.A. restaurant and just happened to offer to take care

of them and bring them to San Diego. He welcomes them in a welcoming

party. He opens up a bank account for them. He arranges for an

apartment right next door to his. And he fronts them two months rent

for the first two months, $1,500. Mr. Basnan, as we report in this

week's " Newsweek, " was a known al Qaeda sympathizer, according to a

federal law enforcement official, had openly expressed his admiration

for the events of September 11, and talked about what a wonderful,

glorious day it had been, and, as we further report, according to a

U.S. intelligence source, showed up in Houston earlier last April,

when the Crown Prince Abdullah was in town and met with a high-

ranking

member of the crown prince's entourage, who deals with intelligence

matters. And we did find a Houston police report that placed him in

Houston that day, April 25. He was reporting $400 in stolen cash.***

In fact, Mr. Bayoumi left the country two months before September 11.

He was picked up by the British in New Scotland Yard a couple of days

after 9/11, then released after a week, and is now believed back in

Saudi Arabia. I can tell you for a fact that, as we report in

" Newsweek, " that witnesses in San Diego have been grilled intensively

in the last couple of weeks about Mr. Bayoumi and his whereabouts and

his activities. And the FBI, which is conducting this investigation,

would not be asking those questions if they were fully satisfied that

all the questions about Mr. Bayoumi's activities had been answered.

CHUNG: The new questions about the role of Saudi Arabian money and

the

September 11 attacks are not the first time Saudis have been

implicated. Almost 3,000 September 11 victims and relatives have

joined a massive lawsuit seeking as much as $1 trillion from members

of the Saudi royal family. Kevin Schaeffer is one of those victims.

And Ron Motley is the attorney pursuing this lawsuit. Ron, I'm told

that you have just returned from Kabul, that your investigators were

there looking into links between the hijackers and the Taliban and al

Qaeda. Were they able to find any link to the Saudi royal family? RON

MOTLEY, ATTORNEY FOR 9/11 VICTIMS AND RELATIVES: Yes, ma'am. We were

able to establish, by sworn testimony, the act of participation of

Prince Turki in the facilitation of the funding of al Qaeda directly

in Afghanistan. CHUNG: Are you saying that Prince Turki, with whom I

just spoke and who claims no one in the royal family is in any way

connected to or funding al Qaeda, are you saying that he is indeed

not

only a funder, but a facilitator for al Qaeda? MOTLEY: There is

absolutely no question about it. We spoke with senior Taliban

officials who were in the room when he indeed did facilitate the

transfer of large sums of money directly to al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

CHUNG: Who was present and how can you verify that Prince Turki was

involved? MOTLEY: Well, Prince Turki hasn't appeared in the suit yet.

But when he does, if he does, we will be able to take his testimony

under oath. But Prince Turki was in Afghanistan on numerous occasions

facilitating the transfer of funds and equipment to al Qaeda. And the

people who gave us these sworn statements were in the room when it

occurred. And these were senior Taliban, former Taliban officials.

CHUNG: Prince Turki is named in your lawsuit, is he not? MOTLEY: He

indeed is a primary target. CHUNG: Do you have any information that

would suggest that the story today, which involves Princess Haifa, is

an accurate one? MOTLEY: Well, I think the story is accurate. The

conclusions you can draw from that story may not be soundly footed

right now, although my investigator has reported-maybe another

coincidence-but another link between the princess and an al Qaeda

figure who has turned state's evidence and is testifying against

three

other al Qaeda members in Michigan. " END OF CONNIE CHUNG EXCERPT

Prince Turki, chief of Saudi intelligence one of bin Laden's mentors

Recently Eric S. Margolis, author of War at the Top of the World :

The

Struggle for Afghanistan, Kashmir and Tibet told a television news

interviewer that Osama Bin Laden Had vetoed UNOCAL's pipeline offer

thru Afghanistan in favor of (Bridas) an Argentine firm. " Bridas told

the Taliban it had no need for funding outside the region. Backing up

their claim, they entered into a partnership with the Saudi firm

Ningarcho. Ningarcho had connections to Prince Turki, chief of Saudi

intelligence and one of Osama bin Laden's mentors. Unocal's Saudi

partner, Delta Oil, was connected to Crown Prince Abdullah. Thus,

Ahmed Rashid observes, " the competition between Unocal and Bridas

also

reflected competition within the Saudi Royal family. ***During 1997

Bridas and Unocal both expanded their courtship of the Taliban.

Taliban delegations traveled to Buenos Aires where they were treated

as royalty. Another delegation traveled to the U.S. to meet with

Unocal and government officials, and to lobby for diplomatic

recognition. Bridas was painstakingly negotiating a contract with

various Afghani factions .*** Prince Turki al-Faisal, then head of

Saudi intelligence, arranged for bin Laden's mother to visit him in

1998. A second visit was reportedly arranged with the knowledge of

the

Saudi royal family, in early 2000. According to Saudi dissident Saad

Al-Fagih, the second trip was to try to discourage bin Laden from

taking action against the royal family. The BBC television program,

Newsnight, reported on November 6, 2001 that the Bush administration

may have interfered with an FBI investigation of the World Assembly

of

Muslim Youth, in Falls Church, Virginia. Abdullah bin Laden is

president and treasurer of WAMY. Omar bin Laden, another brother,

also

lives in Falls Church. WAMY operates out of the basement of a

building

at 5613 Leesburg Pike. A few blocks away is 5913 Leesburg Pike, where

four of the hijackers that attacked New York and Washington are

as having lived. Joe Trento, identified in the broadcast as a

8 November, Prince Turki Al-Faisal described how " Crown Prince

Abdullah sent a letter to President George W Bush before 11

September,

in which he stated that relations between the two countries were at a

crossroads. " Prince Turki, who stepped down in August after nearly 25

years in office as intelligence chief, was interviewed by the

London-based Middle East Broadcasting Centre (MBC). Prince Abdullah

" also wrote that the kingdom would be forced to review its ties with

the United States if the US was not ready to move ahead with finding

a

successful solution to the Middle East conflict, " he said. Prince

Turki described the letter as " strongly worded " and said it was

" unique in Arab-American relations. " He also described the US

reaction

to the letter. " President Bush expressed willingness to enter into

discussions with the kingdom about arrangements for an equitable and

comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question, " he said. "

" The Saudi government is not well placed to respond to the radical

Islamist threat. The kingdom's intelligence and security

organizations

appear to be in flux. At the end of August, Prince Saud's brother,

Turki, resigned as head of General Intelligence, the Saudi CIA.

Western officials say Turki, who was responsible for links with the

Taliban in Afghanistan, was sacked, but they are at a loss to explain

why. The new head, Prince Nawaf, seems unqualified apart from being a

half-brother and close confidant of Crown Prince Abdullah, the de

facto Saudi ruler since King Fahd's health declined in the late

1990s.

But the crucial personality is the forceful Prince Nayef (a full

brother of Fahd and rival of Abdullah), the Saudi minister of

interior, responsible for internal security as well as border

control. "

1989 aiming to " defend Muslims all over the world against injustice. "

" Several days before the September 11 attacks, the Saudi chief of

intelligence, who held that post for 25 years, Prince Turki, brother

of the Saudi foreign minister, was abruptly fired from his post.

Turki

was hardly a man to be dismissed in such fashion; he was responsible

for Saudi affairs with Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the Saudi

liaison

with American intelligence services. It seems that Turki was the

first

high-ranking victim of a power struggle between two competing

factions

in the Saudi royal family over how to deal with American requests to

neutralise bin Laden. Turki's removal from authority portended

further

upheaval within the ruling elite of the House of Saud. Only two weeks

later, and a week after the attack on America, reliable reports

strongly suggest that the ailing King Fahd flew to Geneva with a

massive entourage and now remains secluded behind the heavily

protected walls of private estates registered in the name of his

European business partners. To bin Laden, King Fahd's departure can

only be considered a victory in his campaign to rid Saudi Arabia of

the contamination of American rule through their surrogates in the

House of Saud. With King Fahd's health maintained on a 24-hour

medical

watch, and the Saudi royal family divided between the conservative,

religious faction of Crown Prince Abdullah and that of the defence

minister, King Fahd's full brother, Prince Sultan, Saudi Arabia's

future political course and, with it, the stability of the Gulf is

about to be decided.*** He is the scion of a family, led by his

father, Mohamed, that, in the mid-1960s, engineered the transfer of

the Saudi throne away from the corrupt King Saud to the pious King

Faisal. In effect, Mohamed bin Laden was a king-maker and his son

grew

up with an intimate knowledge of the personal proclivities and

weaknesses of the senior members of the ruling elite.

Saudis suggest Saddam had role in Sept. 11 attacks

24, 2001 ABU DHABI - For the first time, Saudi Arabia has hinted that

Iraq could be involved in the Islamic suicide attacks on New York and

Washington. Saudi Arabia continues to be split over how to respond to

heavy criticism for its support of Osama Bin Laden. Now Saudi

officials are privately suggesting that a Middle East power, probably

Iraq, was behind the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States. The

officials have not named Iraq or its president, Saddam Hussein,

publicly. Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz broke

Riyad's silence on the identities of the attackers and their

sponsors,

Middle East Newsline reported. Sultan is regarded as the most

pro-American figure in the Saudi leadership. " Therefore, the big

question arises: Who stands behind this terrorism and who carried out

this complicated and carefully planned terrorist operation? " Prince

Sultan told the Kuwaiti-based A-Siyassi daily. " Osama Bin Laden and

those with him have said what indicates that they stand behind this

carefully planned act. We, in turn, ask: Are Bin Laden and his

supporters the only ones behind what happened or is there another

power with advanced technical expertise that acted with them? " Saudi

allies in the Gulf region, particularly Kuwait and Oman, are also

trying to *** (draw) attention toward Iraq.

***Sultan is engaged in a struggle for succession as King Fahd's

health continues to decline. The defense minister's rival for the

Minister Joschka Fischer to Riyad. *** "

NEW YORK - The symbolism was very much in evidence in a splashy front

League Summit in Beirut last Friday. Crown Prince Abdullah, the de

facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, publicly embraced Izzat Ibrahim, a

senior

member of the ruling Iraqi Revolutionary Command Council, who led his

EYES WIDE SHUT OR WIDE OPEN?

" Bush: `All Options on the Table' With Iran By JENNIFER LOVEN,

Associated Press Writer Tue Apr 18th 2006 c.e., 9:42 PM ET

WASHINGTON -

President Bush said Tuesday that " all options are on

the table " to prevent Iran

from developing atomic weapons…. Bush was

asked if his administration was planning for the possibility of a

nuclear strike against Iranian nuclear facilities. " All options are

on the table, " he said…. " source:

http://news./s/ap/20060419/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iran_4

As well they should be. While we do not relish the idea of nuclear

weapons being used, if they are used by America to prevent the

lunatics in Iran

from obtaining nuclear weapons, and using those

weapons on a large scale, there seems to be no choice about it The

only way to destroy the Iranian underground installations may well

be the use of so-called " bunker-busting " nuclear weapons. Should the

lunatics in Iran

obtain nuclear weapons and use them on a large

scale, retaliation for the use of those weapons would result in an

even wider nuclear bombing of Iran,

possibly even the total

obliteration of Iran.

Iraq

in March of 2003.

The so-called " President Ahmadinejad " of

so-called " Iran " ,

America

under Bill Clinton covered up the likely Syrian bombing of

TWA Flight 800, and the likely Iraqi bombing of the Federal Building

in Oklahoma City,

which had been the site of the election eve 1992

indictment by special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh, of Caspar

Weinberger in the Iran

– Contra case. The evidence on Iran-Contra

which linked former President Bush to Saddam Hussein was an

embarrassment to Saddam in the Islamic world, and it was stored in

the Federal Building

in Oklahoma City.

As Vice President George

Herbert Walker Bush sent a message to Saddam though King Hussein of

Jordan and President Mubarak of Egypt

to start bombing Iran

on a

large scale during the Iran-Iraq war. Saddam did as he was told

which opened the door for the U.S.

to offer Iran

missiles to defend

itself from Saddam's air strikes against Iran. That was the

beginning of the Iran-Contra affair. Although former President Bush

armed Saddam he turned against Saddam when Saddam invaded Kuwait in

1990. Saddam later sought to assassinate former President Bush in

Kuwait

in 1993.

" Winds of War Gust in Turkey

in America

and Israel By IRA STOLL Forward Staff http://www.forward.com

June 21st 1996 c.e.

Washington- An obscure, half-century-old

conflict between Syria

and

Turkey

is escalating into a near-war with the potential to draw in

Israel and America and create a major shift in the Middle East power

balance.

Syria

has moved 40,000 of its troops to the Turkish border, where

there have been isolated exchanges of fire with Turkish troops over

the past few weeks, reported Al-Hayat, an Arabic-language newspaper

based in London.

A series of explosions in Syria

last month that

caused the State Department to issue a travel advisory for Americans

in that country may have been attempts by the Turkish government to

assassinate both the Syrian dictator Hafez al-Assad, and the leader

of the Kurdish People's Party, known as the PKK, an anti-Turkish

terrorist group backed by Syria,

the Financial Times reported.

" It's not a war yet, but it's a crisis, " sad Daniel Pipes, editor of

the Middle East Quarterly. " It's

definitely one of the major

flashpoints of the region. There's a potential for all-out war. They

are not that far from it. "

The reports that Turkey

was behind the explosions in Syria-reports

viewed by analysts here as credible- may increase the chances that

Israel and America, too,

will take the gloves off with Mr. Assad.

Until the Israeli election last month, diplomats from both Israel

and America

were courting Mr. Assad in their effort to gain a

comprehensive Middle East peace.

" Syria's

been getting off easy all these years, " said Jonathan

Torop, a Soref Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near

East

Policy. " Maybe this will bring about a response by the Israelis

against the Syrians and not just their surrogates. "

Mr. Torop said the Syrians have been supporting terrorists,

counterfeiting American currency and selling drugs that end up in

American cities. With a change of governments in Israel and an

apparently emboldened Turkey,

Mr. Torop said, " it's going to be

more difficult (for Syria)

to act with impunity. "

end of article excerpted from The Forward June 21st, 1996 c.e.

issue. http://www.forward.com

The probable bombing

of TWA Flight 800, most likely because it may have been carrying a

Syrian dissident or dissidents who could have replaced then Syrian

dictator Hafez al-Assad, who has since died and been replaced by

his son, at a time

not long after 2 bomb attempts had been made on Hafez al-Assad's

life, most

likely by Turkey,

at a period when there were 40,000 troops on the

Syrian-Turkish border due to Hafez al-Assad's support of the PKK,

the dissident

or dissidents probably lived in Paris,

the destination of TWA Flight

800 but could not be killed in either New

York, the departure

location

or France as America and France would be embarrassed had the

killing(s) occurred there.

Sunni family in Damascus

and has close ties with the Syrian regime.

Syria

may also have been responsible for support or more in the

bombings of US Facilities in Saudi

Arabia. It certainly is widely

viewed to have bombed the US Embassy in Beirut,

the US Marine

Barracks

in Beirut, and

of course to have murdered 400 people along with the

Gemayel government to be in Lebanon,

to have shelled

thousands of Christians In East Beirut, to have occupied Lebanon, to

have heavy drug involvement In the Bekaa Valley, to print fake US

currency, to back and permit to operate countless terrorist gangs,

does anyone wish to add more charges as the list seems to go on

endlessly. The Assad family and the Baath Party are the true

obstacles

to a Syrian/Israeli peace. The Assads come from the tiny Alawite

minority within Syria.

If arrested, tried, convicted, sentenced

appropriately they would not be missed by the vast majority of the

Syrian people. Whoever replaced them could be judged by whether they

withdrew from or remained in Lebanon

and whether they sought to

attack Israel

by claiming the base from which that attack would be

launched:

The Golan Heights, or whether they sought a peace with Israel which

granted de jure annexation of the Golan Heights to Israel to match

the de facto annexation which has long since occurred, and without

which there cannot be peace between Israel

and Syria

of a lasting

nature. Syrian control of the Golan would only pre-sage a Syrian

attack on Israel

from the Golan.

Syria,

and the subsequent probable use by Syria of Amir and others to

murder Yitzhak Rabin, former Israeli Prime Minister so that Syria

could falsely claim that Rabin had promised to give Syria the Golan,

a claim only a live Rabin could deny.

We are looking for the name(s) and details of which Saudi investor(s)

bought shares in TWA AFTER TWA FLIGHT 800 went down (and any ties

which may have existed between the Saudi investor (s) and Bin Laden

and or arafat and Saddam Hussein.

American Jihad

The Terrorists Living Among Us

by Steven Emerson

Free Press. 261 pp. $26.00

Reviewed by

Terry Eastland

ON SEPTEMBER 11, Americans learned that

international terrorists were

living in their midst. The intrepid

investigative journalist Steven

Emerson knew this years earlier, as a

result of his own inquiries. In

American Jihad, a short but informative

book, Emerson shows who the

terrorists are, and how they operate.

On Christmas Day in 1992, as a staff reporter for CNN, Emerson was in

Oklahoma City

working on a story having nothing to do with terrorism.

Trade Center bombing occurred, Emerson

wondered whether what he had

seen in Oklahoma City

might somehow be connected to the attack.

PBS

broadcast

Emerson's Jihad in America

on November 21, 1994.

" I sat there

sweating, "

writes Emerson.

What Emerson

shows is how they have operated on American soil: how they have

recruited freely, focusing especially on persons bearing U.S.

passports; how they have raised money; and how they have built

clandestine networks in the service of planning mayhem and spilling

blood.

Fundraising in the United

States has been facilitated by the use of

seemingly above-board organizations making seemingly above-board

pitches-to help needy children, for example-the money from which has

then been diverted elsewhere. A case in point is the Holy

Land

Foundation for Relief and Development based in Richardson, Texas,

whose assets were frozen by the Treasury Department this past

December

after the FBI concluded that its funds had been used to support Hamas

activities in the Middle East.

Raising money is not the only purpose served by establishing

" charitable " fronts. " By far the most important tactic "

employed by

terrorist groups, writes Emerson, has been the use of nonprofit and

religious organizations to create " a zone of legitimacy " within which

planning for illegal action can occur.

The two men joined up on the same day

in

Georgia.

They were then stationed together in the same company at

Fort

during the Gulf War.

Terry Guild, 28, now stationed in Hawaii,

agrees: " He was a very

normal, good American serving his country.

Ralph Nader and Chuck Harder

....if anyone has documentation about Ralph Nader's contributions to

Chuck Harder's syndicated hate talk

radio show, I'd appreciate it being posted to the list. Last year,

when I wrote the Chicago and Milwaukee

Area columns for RadioDigest.com, I made reference to this seemingly

odd combine, partly because I

used to be a board operator for a station in Oshkosh, Wisconsin,

that

was an affiliate of Harder's

People's Radio Network and was on-duty as Nader's appearances were

being made. This was about a

year before the Oklahoma City bombing; as Terry

Nichols' Michigan

farm

was being raided, Tom

Brokaw reported on NBC that Harder's daily " For The People " program

apparently inspired much of

Nichols' and McVeigh's anti-government activity. Harder's program, as

well as others that his network

aired (including one hosted via phone by Lyndon LaRouche from the

prison where he was serving his

credit card fraud sentence!), boosted the neofascist " militia "

movement and regularly had " militia "

members and commanders as guests. When I pointed that out in my

columns, I got a ton of e-mail

expressing incredulity that Nader had such an association, and even

more from Naderites accusing me of

everything short of raping the writers' respective grandmothers...

" Strange Links Between the Bombing of The World Trade

Center,

the Bombing of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma

City, and Osama bin

Laden

Yousef's lawyer, Bernard V. Kleinman, said by phone that his client

has had conversations with McVeigh through the fence and also as they

have been moved from their cells to the recreation area. " They talk

about innocuous things like the movies, " Kleinman said. " They don't

talk about anything that they shouldn't be talking about "

The Philippines

is the basis an interesting link between Ramsey

Yousef

and the bombing of the World

Trade Center,

Terry Nichols and the

bombing of the Murrah

Building, Osama bin

Laden. April 25, 1997

Electronic Telegraph Issue 700 A prosecutor in Denver said yesterday

that the " hate-filled " mastermind of the bombing in Oklahoma City

that

killed 168 people was involved in a Right-wing plot . McVeigh's

lawyer, Stephen Jones, is expected to suggest that a foreign

government, " probably Iraq "

hired " a Middle Eastern bombing engineer "

to detonate the explosion with the help of neo-Nazis. In a court

petition, lawyers say the attack was " contracted out " through an

Iraqi

base in the Philippines

and it was " possible that those who carried

out the bombing were unaware of the true sponsor " . Was Stephen Jones

on the right track and what was behind the evidence he wanted to

introduce into the McVeigh trial but could not? Some clues may lie in

another link with the Phillipines that involved McVeigh's

co-conspirator Terry Nichols November 22, 1994 (See NY

Times

December 24, 1997) Terry Nichols left for a 59 day stay in the

Phillipines. He left letters, with his ex-wife, Lana Padilla,

explaining what to do in case he died. Three days after he returned

on

January 16, 1995, he was sharing a motel room in Kansas with Mr.

Mc.Veigh. What was the purpose of this visit? Why was he so concerned

that he might die? Did he meet with Ramsey Yousef, who at the same

time was testing a plan to blow up airliners in the Philippines and

who was later convicted in the bombing of the World Trade

Center?

Cebu is

the city where in July

1990 Nichols travelled to find a mail-order bride and met Marife

Torres. He was 35, she was 17 and they were married there on November

20, 1990. (NY Times December 24, 1997) An associate of Ramsey Yousef,

Edwin Angeles, had been arrested in the Phillipines where he was

contacted by McVeigh's attorney, Stephen Jones. Angeles linked

Nichols

(a.k.a. `the farmer') to Yousef in a meeting on the island of

Mindanao. In his book `Others Unknown', Jones

describes that at a

meeting in Davao,

Angeles met an American who introduced himself as

`the farmer'. Among those present at the meeting were Ramsey Yousef,

Abdul Hakim Murad, and Wali Khan Amin Shah. The meeting was to

discuss

terrorism and Murad, Khan and Yousef would later be defendants in the

plot to blow up twelve U.S.

airliners. All were convicted on

September

5, 1996 and are in American prisons. On April 19, 1995, Murad told

his guard in his New York cell that the Oklahoma city bombing was

the

work of Islamic Jihad. But back to Yousef and the World Trade

Center

bombing where we find a link also between him and Iraq .September 15,

1996 The Telegraph (U.K.

Electronic Edition) Issue 480 According

to Dr Mylroie, the attempt to blow up the twin towers of the World

Trade Centre in New York

on February 26, 1993 .... was an act of

Iraqi

state- sponsored terrorism conducted by proxies.

Jim Fox, then head

of the New York FBI office, suspected Iraqi involvement but says that

the Washington

headquarters refused to look at the evidence. June 3,

1997 Electronic Telegraph Issue 739 Painted by

prosecutors as a

fanatical bomber obsessed with a warped sense of patriotism, Timothy

McVeigh, convicted of the Oklahoma

bombing, gave his attorneys no

help

in establishing an alibi....

Indeed, McVeigh's defence team says Mahon

sent a tape to their client

in prison urging him to accept his " sacrifice " and reminding him in a

subtle way that members of his family were vulnerable. Before the

bombing on April 19, 1995, he was the subject of a terrorism

investigation which generated allegations that he was plotting to

blow

up a federal building in Oklahoma.

Resistance, Mahon

has never made a secret of his extremism. He has

called for the overthrow of the United

States government by " any

means " and regards it as an honour to have been barred from Britain

about anything that they shouldn't be talking about. " The FBI refuses

to accept the evidence March 21, 2001 WorldNet Daily

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=22122

A former investigative reporter for the NBC affiliate in Oklahoma

City

last night told Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly she has gathered

massive evidence of a foreign conspiracy involving Saudi terrorist

leader Osama bin Laden in the 1995 bombing of the federal building

that killed 168 people. Jayna Davis, former reporter for KFOR-TV in

Oklahoma City,

says she took her evidence-including hundreds of court

records, 24 sworn witness statements and reports from law

enforcement,

intelligence and terror experts-to the FBI, which refused even to

accept the material. Two men were convicted of murder and conspiracy

charges in the bombing-Timothy McVeigh, who faces execution May 16,

and Terry Nichols, who yesterday asked that Oklahoma charges against

him be dismissed as he has already been convicted in federal court.

Nichols, 45, is serving a life prison sentence for his federal

conviction on eight involuntary manslaughter counts and conspiracy

for

the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred

P. Murrah

Federal Building.

She said a

Middle East terrorist cell was in operation

only blocks from the

federal building, and that an Iraqi national who formerly served in

Davis

also points to court records offered in the Nichols defense that

suggest he had contacts with a member of bin Laden's terrorist

organization in the Philippines

prior to the bombing. When she took

her hundreds of pages of documentation of conspiracy in the bombing

to

the FBI, Davis

said agents " turned me away and refused to take my

McVeigh mentioned convicted World Trade

Center

bomber Ramzi Yousef, in perhaps another indication of a Middle

Eastern

connection to his own crime.

Philippines,

which he called a " hotbed of fundamentalist Muslim

activity. " Jones said his research shows that bin Laden was in the

Philippines

at the same time as Yousef and Nichols. Both Jones and

Davis said

federal investigators were uninterested in exploring any

possible Middle Eastern connection to the crime. [For further details

Iraqi Connection to Oklahoma

Bombing

Posted March 25, 2002

By Kenneth R. Timmerman

Saudi Crown Prince Abdallah reportedly rejected a direct request

from Vice President Dick Cheney during a March 16 meeting in Jeddah

that Saudi Arabia support a

U.S.-led attack on Iraq.

Other Arab

countries have followed suit. But new information linking Iraq to

terrorist attacks against the U.S.

mainland could at least change

the equation or at least the U.S.

resolve to move against Iraq

unilaterally if necessary.

President George W. Bush and top administration officials have

expanded the war on terror to include regimes, such as Iraq's, that

are developing weapons of mass destruction. In testimony March 19

before the Senate Armed Services Committee, CIA Director George

Tenet made clear that Iraq's

ongoing nuclear-weapons program

constitutes a clear and present danger to the United States. The

president repeatedly has said the same. But until now the United

States has taken no steps to deploy the forces most observers

believe would be necessary to support military action to depose

Saddam Hussein.

That was before an Oklahoma City

lawyer named Mike Johnston, aided

by Larry Klayman of Judicial Watch, filed a federal lawsuit against

Iraq on behalf of victims of

the Oklahoma City

bombing. The lawsuit

alleges that " the entire plot to blow up the Murrah Building

on

Iraq:

their weapons of mass destruction, their refusal to allow U.N.

arms inspectors into the weapons facilities, their support for

terrorism. If we clutched at one single act, some people might see

it as an excuse. "

The lawsuit, filed in U.S.

district court in Washington

on March 14,

alleges that convicted Oklahoma City

conspirator Nichols met

repeatedly in the Philippines

with World Trade Center

bomber Ramzi

Youssef, and that Youssef was an Iraqi intelligence agent. If these

allegations are confirmed in court, they constitute a stunning

indictment of Iraqi state complicity in murderous attacks on the

United States

well before Sept.

the meeting in this item:

shooting to Sept 11

NEW DELHI

(Reuters) - Police probing a shooting at a

U.S. cultural centre in Calcutta said on

Wednesday they

were following a trail that led all the way to those involved in

the September 11 attacks on the United

States.

An official from India's

Central Bureau of Investigation

(CBI) told Reuters New Delhi had prepared a dossier on

links between militant groups operating in India and those

suspected of carrying out the airliner attacks on the World

Trade Center.

The file had been given to U.S.

authorities.

TRAIL LEADS TO U.S.

ATTACKS

India's

foreign ministry said responsibility for the attack on the

American Center

in crowded downtown Calcutta

was claimed by a Dubai-based man, named as Farhan, who had links with

some Pakistan-based militant groups.

He is also known variously as Aftab Malik and Aftab Ansari and

officials Calcutta

police say one of the groups

he has been linked to claimed it carried out the attack in revenge

for

the death in police custody of alleged militant

Asif Raza Khan.

That group, Harkat-e-Jihad-e-Islami, also reportedly has operations

in

Bangladesh,

which has tightened security

along its border with India

and around U.S.

installations in the

country in the wake of the Calcutta

killings.

Police investigating the raid said the trail led all the way to the

September 11 attacks on the United

States.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said New Delhi had prepared

a dossier on links between militant groups in India and the suspects

of the World Trade

Center attacks, which it had given to U.S.

authorities.

A senior police intelligence officer told Reuters Khan had once

confessed to sending money via an intermediary

to Mohamed Atta, the Egyptian believed to have flown one of the

hijacked planes into the World

Trade Center.

U.S. Consul-General in Calcutta Christopher Sandrolini said it was

too

early to know whether the attack on the

American Center

was targetted specifically at the United States. "

now to return to the article being quoted:

" The evidence could take the CIA and the White House to both Middle

Eastern states, as Tenet made clear. " The distinctions between Sunni

and Shia [islam] that have traditionally divided terrorist groups

are not distinctions you should make anymore because there is a

common interest against the United

States and its allies in this

region, and they will seek capability wherever they can get it, " he

Iraqi involvement in his book Others Unknown: Timothy McVeigh and

the Oklahoma City

Bombing Conspiracy. But other facts will surprise

even veteran Oklahoma City

watchers, who long have known the

government was withholding evidence, as Department of Justice

Inspector General Glenn A. Fine admitted in an official report

released on March 18.

Jones tells INSIGHT that the new allegations, combined with evidence

he had uncovered earlier, bear the weight of prima facie evidence of

a broader conspiracy involving Iraq.

" We went to the Philippines

four times to investigate Terry Nichols'

meetings with Ramzi Youssef and other known terrorists, " Jones tells

Oklahoma City

trial, Angeles says he met on several occasions with

Youssef, coconspirators Abdul Hakim Murad, Wali Khan Amin Shah and a

visiting American known as " The Farmer. "

At one meeting in late 1994 in Davao on the island of Mindanao, a

hotbed of Muslim extremism, the group discussed specific terrorist

targets in the United States,

including the federal building in

Oklahoma City, as INSIGHT reported last November

(see " Iraq

Connection to U.S.

Extremists, " Nov. 19, 2001). Angeles then made a

sketch of The Farmer that he gave to the investigators. Says

Jones: " The man it depicted was a dead ringer for Terry Nichols. "

According to Jones, as well as new witnesses uncovered by Johnston

and his investigators working on the ground in the Philippines,

Nichols went to the Philippines

to learn bomb-making techniques in

late 1994 after he and McVeigh had attempted unsuccessfully to build

an explosive device. " In October, " Jones says, " Tim couldn't

blow up

a rock. Then Terry goes to the Philippines,

and Tim says he builds

the bomb. " Despite repeated demands from his lawyers for the truth,

McVeigh " never accounted for how he learned to build the bomb, "

Jones says. Jones and Johnston believe it was Nichols who brought

back that expertise from the Philippines

after extensive meetings

with bomb expert Youssef.

Nichols' father-in-law, a Filipino policeman named Torres, told

Philippine-government investigators that he had found bomb-making

manuals in Nichols' luggage in late 1994 when Nichols stayed at the

family's home in Cebu

City, at precisely the

same time Angeles

placed Nichols in meetings there with Youssef. The FBI claims Torres

retracted these statements, but Jones says he reaffirmed them in

subsequent depositions with Philippine authorities. " To me, that

increased his credibility, " Jones tells INSIGHT.

And then there's the strange package Nichols left with his ex-wife

in the United States

before making the last of his many previously

tranquil trips to the Philippines.

OSAMA'S MENTOR PRINCE TURKI - BROTHER OF PRINCESS HAIFA

FIRST SECTION IMMEDIATELY BELOW IS EXCERPTED FROM: " CNN CONNIE CHUNG

TONIGHT Aired November 25, 2002 - 20:00 ET

" SEN. RICHARD SHELBY ®, ALABAMA: We need to know what kind of ally we

have here. I'm suspicious. ANNOUNCER: The U.S. government and

relatives of the 9/11 victims want answers. Could money from the

Saudi

government have bankrolled al Qaeda? *** CHUNG: Prince Turki al-

Faisal

from Riyadh is not only former chief of Saudi intelligence; he's the

brother of the princess, Princess Haifa al-Faisal, wife of the Saudi

ambassador to Washington, whose checks are now under investigation. "

(

NOTE, NOT PART OF ARTICLE BEING QUOTED, NOTE THE NAME OF THE SAUDI

PRINCESS: HAIFA AL FAISAL, HAIFA, AS IN THE CITY IN ISRAEL !!!

CLEARLY

SHE WAS NAMED WITH THE INTENT OF NOT RECOGNIZING HAIFA AS BEING AN

ISRAELI CITY!!! HAIFA!!!!) ARTICLE BEING QUOTED CONTINUES: " PRINCE

TURKI AL-FAISAL, FORMER CHIEF OF SAUDI INTELLIGENCE: *** in my view,

ludicrous and unfair media hype on my sister.*** her contributions to

children's welfare and children with educational disabilities are

well-registered and reported in the Washington area.***CHUNG: And

joining me now from Washington is the man who broke this story on

Saudi money; " Newsweek " 's Michael Isikoff. Michael, I'm sure you just

heard what Prince Turki said. He said that your report was ludicrous

and-quote- " unfair media hype. " MICHAEL ISIKOFF, " NEWSWEEK " :

***And

here's what we know. What we know is, the two individuals who ended

up

as the recipient of the money-or at least it was through-or their

families ended up as the recipients of the money-are these two Saudi

students in San Diego, Mr.

" An attack on Iraq would cause civilian casualties-

Saudi Arabia's Prince Turki bin Faisal . " collateral damage pales

in comparison to the damage Saddam inflicts on his own people,

whether

gassing five

thousand of them on one day in 1988 or assaulting the Shi'ites in

Iraq's south for more than a decade. As in Afghanistan, THE

LIBERATION OF IRAQ would be a humanitarian operation that the local

population will celebrate.. ***Attacks on Iraq may only " bolster

Saddam's position in Iraq and make the people more supportive of

him, "

warns Prince Turki. That's ridiculous. Saddam will not be stronger

reason that he won't be around at all "

Afghanistan the biggest U.S. covert operation since World War II

Prince Turki worked hand-in-glove with the CIA in funding the proxy

war in Afghanistan. Turki, working closely with ISI, distributed more

than $ 1 billion in Saudi funds to the mujehedin in the 1980s. ISI

officials, with guidance from the CIA, provided day-to-day military

advice to the mujehedin. " http://www.sfsu.edu/~abssa/Report7.html

" Normal relations between the United States and Iraq would serve our

long-term interests and support stability both in the Gulf and the

Middle East, " stated the top secret (BUSH I ) directive.

1990s.

But the crucial personality is the forceful Prince Nayef (a full

brother of Fahd and rival of Abdullah), the Saudi minister of

interior, responsible for internal security as well as border

control.

With King Fahd's health maintained on a 24-hour

medical

watch, and the Saudi royal family divided between the conservative,

religious faction of Crown Prince Abdullah and that of the defence

minister, King Fahd's full brother, Prince Sultan, Saudi Arabia's

future political course and, with it, the stability of the Gulf is

about to be decided.*** He is the scion of a family, led by his

weaknesses of the senior members of the ruling elite.

Saudis suggest Saddam had role in Sept. 11 attacks

Special to World Tribune.com GEOSTRATEGY-DIRECT.COM Wednesday,

October

A kiss on the cheek: a slap on the face of Uncle Sam

NEW YORK - The symbolism was very much in evidence in a splashy front

page picture in the New York Times accompanying a story on the Arab

League Summit in Beirut last Friday. Crown Prince Abdullah, the de

facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, publicly embraced Izzat Ibrahim, a

senior

member of the ruling Iraqi Revolutionary Command Council, who led his

country's delegation to the just-concluded summit.

As Abdullah planted a kiss on Ibrahim's cheek, he also delivered a

slap on the face of Uncle Sam. Arab leaders seemingly stood united

declaring that any military attack on Iraq

would be construed as an attack on all Arab states. "
