I think it is just a poorly researched opinion piece. Smith does not deliver the goods; his comment that " excess " niacin is simply peed out does not define that excess except by a reference to the laughable RDA! Dr Abram Hoffer on the other hand has been delivering the goods; he has been treating schizophrenia, depression, anxiey and insomnia using high niacin and b6 doses etc, for more than 40 years.
