I know it's suppose to be safe now that it's over the counter, but my youngest son was just put on it for allergies and I thought maybe someone could tell me if it's ok or not. Guest guest
Itchy throat, runny nose, itchy watery eyes sometimes. Just your normal allergies. He's got asthma too, but it's very mild and he's not on anything for that... just has an inhaler for those wheezy moments. They (his Ped. doctor) gave him a rescue inhaler (Albuterol -which he uses as needed), then 2 prescriptions (Claritin and Singulair) and another once a day inhaler (Q-var) that I have never given him. That's just TOO much in my opinion!! Especially since he's never had any kind of testing or been to any specialists... just his pediatrician. I was however thinking of giving him the Claritin for the allergies, but I'd rather find something natural. The lady at our local health food store said that she could do a muscle test and that she bets he is full of yeast and that is what's causing the asthma. I've just in the last year or so started getting into more natural methods of keeping healthy, etc. I've never been a pill popper, never took the prescriptions that were given to me (unless it was antibiotics or something) and just started looking into the alternatives. I don't think anyone needs to fill their bodies up with all these prescription drugs. I was on zoloft for 18 mos and it was horrible. I gained 30 pds and although my anxiety was gone, I was just NOT myself. I weaned myself off and have been off it for over a year now. I'm just now starting to lose some of the weight. Of course the anxiety is back lol, but that is another quest I'm on... to find a healthy alternative to zoloft. ) Thanks for your help!! Guest guest
Homeopathic Aconite 12x or 30C would probably help him enormously with this + some Ferr Phos 6x (tissue salts but also a homeopathic preparation) much safer than chemicals. Thats what i take successfully for these symptoms and I get them at least once every five years - most of us get them at the beginning of many types of infection.
