Guest guest
There is so much I could write you a book but I will start with please ask your dr for a complete thyroid panel especially free T3 and Free T4 ,reverseT3 and thyroid antibodies. Low temp is usually a symptom of low thryoid and a thyroid condition called Wilson's syndrome.http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com Then there is thyroid resistance which means the cells in the body are resisting the thryoid hormone.www.drlowe.com Neither of these conditions are not readily recognized. Then we have plain old hypothyroidism. There is an epidemic of what is called subclinical hypothyroidism because labs don't catch a large percentage of the cases due to drs only doing the TSH which is pretty worthless.Dr Lowe just wrote a book called the Terror of the TSH.Thousands of people are typically frustrated with drs that won't test or do proper prescribing because again the drs that do treat thryoid will only prescribe Synthroid which works for some people and doesn't work for a whole lot of people but drs have blinders on and anything other than the standard protocol taught in med school doesn't exist as far as they are concerned. There is a great book you can pick up used on Amazon or Half.com called Hypothyroidism the Unsuspected Illness by Broda Barnes he goes into the temperature in detail and also talks about cardiovascular problems and more. Hope this helps. chantal
