My niece has 3 teenagers. She has managed with the help of Niacin to keep her two teenage daughters stress levels down. Of course we realize that many of our foods contain hormones, etc. But she has a teenage son at age 13 who is becoming very aggresive, moody and in general 'hard to handle'. He needs some type of supplement to 'chill him out'. We realize that he probably has 'raging hormones' and it needs to be controlled. He is a good boy whom we want to keep out of trouble. Are there any specific vitamins, herbs or whatever that can help? Thank you lynnLynn

The same vitamin is, niacin, is good for

boys too.  It applies to depression, manic-depression, and some other mood

disorders.  But, “raging hormones” are not necessarily disorders.

Lots of sunshine (vitamin d3) and focused work, exercise, with ones hands (not

typing on a computer) would help.  Essential fatty acids are used in this sort

of stuff.

All of the above can be had from a good

diet.  Perhaps a little extra on the supplements, but rely on the good diet

rather than the supplements, and the exercise.  A lot of children suffering

from these things do not get exercise, or any physical work.

Also, look up “orthomolecular”

medicine on the net here.  There is a whole field of medicine that you can read

about and find out what supplements are good for various disorders.  Niacin

helps in pms in teenagers and adults (females).

Ed, Thanks for your tips. As mentioned we have both of the girls take niacin but were not sure it would help the 'male' situation. lynnEd Siceloff <siceloff wrote: Also, look up “orthomolecular” medicine on the net here.
