Guest guest
Please circulate the following as widely as possible. We the educated senior citizens of India deserve a better treatment for our health needs. Why should it be mandatory for us very educated people to go to a physician to treat ourselves if we don't want to consult him? Yes, retired from job as we are, we wish to save money. But we are restricted in our right to health and right to choose the therapy by the labels on the medicines and some vitamins and oils that they have to be sold only under physician's prescription. The World Self Medication Industry, France: admin, www.wsmi.org/ is working for this right of educated citizens. We are not talking of prescribing or practising medicine. We are talking of self-treating. We therefore submit that all vitamins and minerals, amino acids (proteins), the digestive enzymes such as papytazyme, omega3 such as the Mega3 and Mexepa, the GLA- 120 (it contains the evening primrose oil and borage oil) should be available in whatever dose we want and without a physician's prescription. Also, more and more medicines, not just aspirin, be removed from the " prescription-only " category. After all we are educated. We know at what dose vitamin A may (not proven) get toxic and what chelates what. We read the literature and we are in many areas of health even more informed than an average physician for the simple reason that after all who will be more interested in our health than ourselves? So we read and read day in and day out to keep ourselves fit. Many of us are more fit in our age than many a young physician. Regards.
