Sugar, as a wound dressing

This is a true story. In 1993 my mother was rushed to a major hospital here in Canada. She was suffering from acute pancreatitis. They stabilized her and sometime during the next few weeks they saw fit to amputate one of her legs due to poor circulation. She became bedridden. As most of you know that spells trouble - ulcers (otherwise known as bedsores). I lived 1,200 miles away and could not be there from the beginning, but my bro was there. I spent a few days with her over X-mas and had to get home again (had 3 young children). In time her pancreas acted up again and they scheduled another operation. I flew back to be with her and as I walked through the hospital elevator doors, there sat my mom in a wheel chair with tears rolling down her cheeks. I asked her what was wrong. She said "Barb, my bum hurts me so much. Please help me." She was referring to her bedsore which the doctors had assured us was getting better. I asked the nurse if I could she her bedsore. The nurse was more than obliging. I couldn't believe my eyes!! I could see her tailbone!! Needless to say I was furious but said nothing at that time because she was going under the doctor's knife the next day. When she returned to the ward I began the fight to have sugar used as a wound dressing. I found an article in "Health and Healing" written by Dr. Julian Whitaker in Sept. 1993 (or maybe 1992) on just this subject. After a week of fighting with hospital administration, we were finally allowed to use sugar. We followed the protocol as outlined in the Research Papers which we found in the Medical Mafia's own medical library! Yes, that's right. There was a 5 year study done on the use of sugar as a wound dressing. The results were amazing. So too, were they for my mother. She began to heal beautifully. Her surgeon insisted that her flesh would not grow back and the only way this bedsore could be "cured" was with surgery. Well, guess what. It DID grow back. After spending 18 long months in that hospital she finally went home. According to this article (Whitaker's) sugar can be used to heal leg ulcers on diabetics as well. Thought I'd share this with you. If I can find the 5 year study on the net I'll share the website with you. I've tried to find it before but with no success. All I find is references made to it but not the actual study and the results. Barb

I ran into the same thing with my son who is diabetic, on dialysis and a quadriplegic. He was very prone to getting pressure sores and one night he had gone into a diabetic coma. The EMTS brought him back around with an IV but he was flown to the hospital in Spokane in a helicopter. He uses a special mattress with airflow that moves around in it. On the helicopter they had a gurney type pad mattress and the helicopter vibration gave him a pressure sore that kept him in the hospital for eleven months. A nurse came into our home and redressed it every morning for several months. It still hadn't healed up all the way and broke loose and started weeping again. We started spraying colloidal silver into the wound which showed bone at the bottom, was five inches long and an inch wide. It did heal up finally but never did fill in with the exception of a thin covering over the hip bone. I wish I had known about the sugar therapy.
