Guest guest
I'm new here and thought I'd share a "remedy" with all of you. If you're like me, poison ivy is an unwelcome irritant. In one of my herb books (I think it's called Jude's Herbal) I read that the Native People used the "milk" of the milkweed plant to stop the spread of poison ivy. I have used this cure many, many times. It will stop poison ivy in its tracks. As soon as you know you have poison ivy, rub the sap of the milkweed plant on the affected area. You only have to replenish it when you wash it off. Usually it only takes 3 days to get rid of the poison ivy completely. To see which milkweed is native to your area check out this site. The one that is native to my area (Manitoba) is the same one that is native to ND. Barb http://www.milkweedfarm.com/states.html
