Guest guest
I have a concern and a poll I'd like to introduce to our list. I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivies) which all started when I moved into social housing in the city of Toronto. Nothing in the air bothered me, no smells bothered me but I was unable to sleep, eat, drink and my hair started falling out like crazy and I was getting pain inside my body. Three weeks later, I had to move back home and nobody cared about listeing to me so I moved out. After that I noticed fragrances offended me, and smelled this weird funny odour everywhere (which is pesticides) and I can smell this just from sitting next to someone who lives in an apartment. Now the Apartments in the City of Toronto are just unbearably stenched with this stuff, I mean even when my parents came back from my Aunt's beautiful extragent Condo on New Years I picked up the scent.!!!! And being on ODSP you unable to live in any apartment even in a co-op because you have to after moving in apply for a subsidy and the budget is tight tight and tighter. So people on ODSP will only get up to $952 per month and this rent in co-ops are $973. ? How do you eat, if you can't eat processed foods? My huge issue is this I need and hopefully get answers to: (PLEASE IF YOU CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION)..... Why is the pesticide chemicals sprayed in all the building and condo's of Toronto not an issue and not affecting so many people??????????????????? Surely lawyers and executives and stockbrokers live in condos, and gov't workers even live in some Co-ops. I seriously dehydrate to the bone when I smell that stuff, and living in it full-time would send most people from doctor to doctor with allergies, asthma, coughing and flus, respiratory problems, etc....and some of these people even have pets!!!!!!!!! Why aren't people clueing into this problem in Toronto? Why can't they use Apple Cider Vinegar and Cayenne Pepper to kill the pests? Why must the chemical poisons affect all the people, and half of the entire city lives in apartments but this isn't an issue? WHY???????????????????? Janice.
